While pizzas may have originated in Italy, New York City (NYC) does it differently. From the crust to the toppings, NYC-style pizzas hit harder—and until recently, they were tough to find in Singapore.
That changed when we discovered Bad Habits Provision, a hidden alleyway pizza spot along River Valley district and near to Fort Canning MRT Station.

Along Mohamed Sultan Road, surrounded by fine-dining restaurants, high-rise apartments, and even a place of worship, Bad Habits Provision is easy to miss. On our first visit, we even mistook another restaurant for the popular pizza joint.
You’ll know you’re in the right place when you spot camper chairs and makeshift tables lining the alleyway, with customers lounging in the dark. This laid-back, no-frills setup immediately sets Bad Habits Provision apart, channeling the energy of a classic NYC pizza joint.
Not a fan of outdoor dining? Step inside, where limited indoor seating is available. If you snag a spot, choose the seat nearest to the oven for a front-row view of the pizzaioli (Italian word for professional pizza makers) in action.

Every visit feels different, as not all favours are always available. During our visit, we tried slices of Garlic Mushroom Kale, Anchovy Marinara, and Triple Cheese. One best-seller we missed out on was the Salami, which we’re hoping to catch next time.
When it comes to pizza toppings, we hold strong opinions—and kale and anchovies usually don’t make the cut. That changed after our first bite of the Garlic Mushroom Kale pizza. The crispy, crunchy kale complemented the savoury mushrooms, while the marinara base tied everything together. Before we knew it, we were already ordering a few more slices.
The Anchovy Marinara sparked mixed reactions. Some of us enjoyed the lingering briny notes against the marinara, while others felt it wasn’t quite up our alley and preferred the Triple Cheese or Garlic Mushroom Kale instead.

Overall, the pizza slices are filling enough for two—especially for a first date. Prices range from S$7 to S$10 per slice. Planning something bigger, like a birthday gathering? Opt for the eight-slice pizza, which starts from S$50.
Looking for munchies to share? Go for the Fried Chicken (S$18) or Meatball Marinara (S$17). Round off the night with their seasonal coffee cocktails, such as Dragonfruit Coffee Shochu (S$30), Coconut Coffee Milk Punch, or more. If it’s too late for caffeine, they also serve classic cocktails like martinis and negronis, both priced at S$23.
Before heading out, browse their streetwear merchandise by local designers—you might just leave with a keepsake. Bad Habits Provision opens daily, from 2pm till midnight.
Wear your merch on your next visit and relive the good food, drinks, and memories at one of Singapore’s most authentic NYC style pizza joints.
