We ordered the Seafood Aglio Olio Pasta (S$36.80), a beautifully balanced seafood pasta that marries the simplicity of an aglio olio base with the freshness of the sea. Nestled among the strands are plump scallops, succulent prawns, and fresh mussels. The finishing touch is a delicate lemon cream foam, adding a light, citrusy brightness that ties the richness of the seafood together without overwhelming the dish.

High Tea

The Royal Tea Set (S$48 for 1 pax) is a beautifully curated spread that takes you on a journey through sweet and savoury French classics, available from 2.30pm to 6pm daily, except during festive periods. Pair your tea set with your choice of coffee, tea, or Angelina’s Signature Hot Chocolate (S$6).

On the sweet side, expect a rotating Pastry of the Day, delicate Chef’s Macaron and a scaled-down Mini Mont-Blanc layered with chestnut cream. The savoury tier brings equal charm – Crab Rangoon with Alaskan crab and tangy tartar sauce, a flaky Truffle Eggs Mimosa Croissant, fresh Smoked Salmon Bruschetta, and many more!

Angelina’s legendary hot chocolate (S$18.80) – thick, velvety, and intensely rich, made from a blend of quality cocoa that borders on indulgent rather than simply sweet. Unlike typical powdered versions, this is closer to melted dark chocolate in liquid form. Traditionally served with a side of whipped cream to stir in, allowing you to customise the richness and sweetness to your own taste. 

Overall, a solid taste of Parisian heritage right here in Singapore. It is definitely worth a visit if you’re after something a little more indulgent than your usual cafe run!

While time for Tom’s Palette is running out, the Singaporean gelataria is not going out in despair, but in celebration. The brand’s spokesperson Faith Yap shared that the brand will be bringing back its most beloved flavours every week in an Encore Collection.

Encore Collection

From now until the end of Tom’s Palette’s operations, three flavours are expected to be released each week on Tuesday. These flavours are limited-time classics that customers have highly requested to make a return, and will be available for pre-orders in pints.

The same flavours will also come to Tom’s Palette’s storefronts, available in the usual cups and cones in limited quantities. For details on all the flavours dropping in the upcoming weeks, stay tuned to Tom’s Palette’s website and socials.

Keep reading to find out what flavours we are looking out for, including some we will sorely miss. If you’ve ever been to Tom’s Palette, some of these will sound familiar.

Legendary Flavours

From 11 to 23 August 2026, the theme is Chocolate. Of these three, we are looking forward most to Nasty Mix — a combination of salted chocolate gelato, caramelised peanut butter, and pretzels. For those of you who love a scoop that is rich in flavour, or something reminiscent of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or a Snickers bar, don’t miss out on this one.

After the chocolate-themed week, Tom’s Palette shines the spotlight on Local flavours. And of course, we have to talk about Pi Pa Gao. Who would have thought that a Chinese medicinal cough syrup could work well as a gelato flavour? As ironic as it sounds, this is one to remember for the ages. We’re definitely getting a scoop of this before it disappears.

Local, Part Two, is probably the one we are most looking forward to. All three flavours here are legendary, but Salted Egg Yolk and Soya Bean Youtiao are simply iconic. One is a popular, savoury flavour inspired by Liu Sha Bao (Molten Salted Egg Yolk Buns) that has been around for 15 years.

The other is one of our personal favourites that recreates a classic pairing in gelato form — soya bean and fried dough fritters. Both are absolute must-tries.

Is there any other fruit that better represents Singapore than Durian? Available from 22 September 2026 to 4 October 2026, the Mao Shan Wang flavour returns, bringing that instantly recognisable thickness, creaminess, and bittersweetness. This is the perfect flavour for all you durian lovers.

Based on Tom’s Palette’s website, the final three flavours to be released as part of the Encore Collection will be Halloween-themed. At the time of writing, these flavours have yet to be revealed, but we know it will launch on 6 October 2026 and last till the establishment’s closing.

End of a 21-year Era

The announcement of Tom’s Palette’s closure came through the brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where Yap shared about the struggles of sustaining two gelato outlets amidst rising costs and in an industry where customers only show up “for three hours out of the day”.

The post has since garnered much support from loyal customers, who expressed both their disappointment about the closure and gratitude for the store being a spot where fond memories were made.

Whether you are a longtime fan of Tom’s Palette or not, drop by one of their two outlets at Bugis and Kovan and show them some love while you still can! As Yap shared in her video, let’s “make the best out of our time that we have left together.”

Craft your own Lily-Adorned Soap Bar with Just Truly Yours! Choose from pure essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances to customise your scent. Catch this workshop at Australian Garden, Flower Dome, 22 August 2026 to 23 August 2026, 10am to 6pm, priced at S$15 per participant (inclusive of activity materials). Do note that a separate ticket is required for entry into the Flower Dome and registration for this workshop is available onsite only. Lily Pipe Flowers

If you’re looking for a secluded slice of paradise away from the tourism masses, why not visit Freedom Beach – turquoise water and fine, soft sand! There are a handful of small stalls serving drinks and light bites.

You can reach there via a short hiking trail through the hills, or if you’d rather skip the climb, keep an eye out for local trucks – they sometimes offer rides up and down the steep hill for around 100–200THB. One tip is to skip the flip-flops for the walk down; closed-toe shoes will serve you much better on the trail.

2. Bang Tao Beach

Stretching along Phuket’s west coast, Bang Tao Beach unfolds as one of the island’s longest and most scenic shorelines. The Private Thai Cooking Class by The Front Village in Karon, Phuket is a hands-on culinary session to learn how to cook authentic Thai food in a traditional Thai setting, with skilled and friendly chefs who imparted the secrets of Thai cooking to us in a fun atmosphere. After cooking, meals are enjoyed in an air-conditioned dining area, often finished off with a complimentary fresh fruit platter prepared by the staff. Each participant also receives a recipe booklet and a certificate of completion to take home!

5. Yoga Retreat

CC’s Hideaway is a boutique wellness hotel and yoga retreat located in the hills of Kata and Karon. We started our day with a 75-minute morning yoga class at 8am, a great mind and body reset before the day even really begins. The class is conducted by an English instructor, and is open to both genders.

All you have to do is turn up in your yoga clothes and a yoga mat, and equipment (blocks, etc) are provided for each session. You may choose to book and pay for the classes here to secure a spot. Do note that prior bookings are not required.

6. Snorkelling

Khai Nai Island is home to a beachside restaurant and plenty of deck chairs lining the main beach available for rentals, making it easy to relax between swims. We tried off-the-beach snorkelling right near the shore and were rewarded with sightings of colourful reef fish darting through the shallows. With calm waters, gentle waves, and clear visibility, it’s a relaxed, welcoming spot for snorkellers of all levels – just head in and explore.

7. Mamasita Mexican 

Mamasita Mexican is a solid pick for group hangouts or if you’re craving casual, authentic Mexican food. The menu covers all the classics: tacos, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos, and homemade salsas, along with flavorful vegetarian options, all prepared with quality ingredients. Standouts include the Baja Style Fish Tacos (295THB), Grilled Beef Chimichanga (395THB), and Carnitas Quesadillas (340THB). Also try the Classic Spanish Sangria (290THB) for something cool and refreshing, or go for cocktails like Mojito and Piña Colada at 240THB each.

8. Have a Bagel Day

Bagel lovers, we found a cosy, minimalist cafe in Cherngtalay, known for freshly baked, homemade bagels – dare we say the best in town. Beyond the plain bagels, you can also order Ready Bagel sandwiches like Bagel & Lox (265THB) and BLT (225THB) – great grab-and-go options to enjoy by the beach. Within the area, you can also check out Boat Avenue Phuket and Porto de Phuket.

Have a Bagel Day is a great spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch if you’re craving something other than Thai food during your trip.

9. Kiri

Kiri Restaurant is a beachside dining concept with multiple branches across Phuket’s most popular coastlines including Kata, Karon, and Naithon Beach. The menu spans both comfort food from different cuisines (Japanese, Indian, and Western) and authentic Thai classics such as BBQ Pork Ribs (from 390THB), Roasted Duck in Red Curry (200THB), Kra Prao (180THB), and many more. The average price per person is around 600THB, and it’s fantastic for day-club lounging too.
