Hangyodon returns with his very first pop-up café, at Wong Fu Fu this January

by Alexis Lee

You’ve seen the rising star Hangyodon appear in more Sanrio pop-ups; you’ve even met him at the Singapore Oceanarium. But for the first time, this beloved character will have his own pop-up café!

Known for their viral 5-litre Bubble Milk Tea, Cinnamoroll pop-up, and more, Wong Fu Fu now brings Hangyodon to their café. From 7 January 2026, this Taiwanese eatery will feature a Hangyodon-themed pop-up promotional menu, alongside the fish-man’s best friend, Sayuri

Just like past experiences, you can anticipate a colourful and decorative interior inspired by the fish-man, and indulge in themed treats or drinks.

Snacks

Start your order with one of their snacks, which come in limited-edition, character-themed boxes. Snacks include typical menu items like Truffle Fries with Truffle Mayo Dip (S$13.90) and Golden Fried Tater Tots (S$12.90), but what is a pop-up without exclusive items?

Loved for its salty and sweet fragrance, ordering the café’s Korean Fried Chicken with Soy Garlic Glaze (S$14.90) is a great option for sharing. If you’re looking for a snack with a kick, you can choose the Crispy Taiwan Salt and Pepper Chicken (S$13.90) instead.

Mains

Onto the mains, cool off with Hangyodon’s favourite dish, ramen! True to Hangyodon’s chill and comforting personality, enjoy the Chilled Ramen Set (S$23.90) filled with tender egg strips, crab sticks, shimeji mushrooms, and more—all splashed with fragrant Japanese dashi sauce. This set also comes with a mini smoked duck salad and a special Hangyodon toy (worth S$9.90), making your visit even more irresistible.

If you’re looking for a warmer meal, Hangyodon’s Ocean Feast (S$24.90) set comprises pea flower-infused fluffy white pearl rice, shaped just like the cheerful fish himself! Served with creamy seafood chowder cream sauce and a basket of seafood tempura, alongside fresh garden salad topped with adorable heart-shaped carrots, narutomaki and steamed broccoli. It’s rare to find a pop-up serving tempura, making this a dish we’re definitely looking forward to trying

Drinks

Drinks in the pop-up consist of various lattes, from matcha to coffee blends. The Strawberry Field Matcha Latte (S$12.90) in particular is a highlight due to its Kyoto matcha ingredient with fresh strawberry milk and housemade strawberry sauce, topped with fresh vanilla whipped cream and a charming presentation.

Do take note that online reservations are encouraged, with priority given to customers with reservations. Limited seats will still be available for walk-in customers, but are subject to availability. In order to ensure a better dining experience during the pop-up, dining time may be limited to 80 minutes. Additionally, a minimum spend of S$20 per person is required during this event, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re planning to visit with a large group.

Starting from 7 January 2026, this ocean adventure is one you won’t want to miss. Round up your Sanrio fans or aquatic lovers, and swim over to Wong Fu Fu for the ultimate Hangyodon pop-up experience
