Soothe your love woes with a pint of ice cream at Heartbreak Melts, a late-night dog-friendly ice-cream café

For those who enjoy ice cream joints and late-night dessert stops, Heartbreak Melts is the place for you. With themed decor and a ‘heartbreak’ wall where you can pen your romantic woes, you can engage in some ‘food therapy’ to comfort your broken heart.

From the decor to the ice cream, everything is heartbreak-themed, and we only wish they invited BLACKPINK over to “kill this love”.

Choose from a wide variety of ice cream flavours, depending on your mood, whether its wanting to “Let that man(go)”, or “Resentment (90% dark choc)”. The menu rotates with different flavours this week, and you can get sets like ‘I am Hungry’, which comes with two scoops of ice cream on a waffle and a drink (S$18). For students, there are student meals as well, comprising a waffle and a scoop of ice cream for just S$8.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try the ‘Unloved Stories’ series, named after romantic misadventures like “The Catfish”(S$14.40) — for when your date looks totally different from their dating app profile — consisting of a waffle with an ice-cream scoop of an unknown flavour and a mystery drink. Even better, you can make it clear to the person you’re hanging out with that you’re just friends with “Just a Friend”(S$28), a waffle topped with two scoops of ice cream (no sharing).

One of the more unique elements of the café is that all its menu items are vegan, with a menu feature sides like soy nuggets (12 for S$12), and crispy oyster mushroom (500g for S$24), in generous portions, so even savoury food lovers can join in the fun.

Ever heard of ice cream cocktails? Now you have. Choose from flavours like Strawberry Drunken Love (S$18 for a single shot), because who doesn’t want to get drunk on strawberries? And if you’re feeling a little scandalous, try the Yes Mr (Earl) Grey (S$18 for a single shot) — we all know what that refers to. Last but not least, ready yourself for the holiday festivities with the Santa Daddy Peppermint (S$18 for a single shot).

When you’re done with your ice cream, strike a pose with the aesthetic decor, and join the heartbreak experience by penning your heartbreak stories on the wall. You can even submit your heartbreak story on their online form, if you’re simply dying to spill the tea on an ex-lover.

The best part? Heartbreak melts is a dog-friendly café, so if you want to go out with your furry friend for some good ol’ ice cream comfort, you can do so until the café closes at 2am.

Looking for somewhere to vent your heartbreak frustrations? Then visit Heartbreak Melts, where you’ll get to indulge in some achingly good ice cream that won’t dessert you.
