The hotpot phase doesn’t seem to be dying down but I am all for it.
The ever-iconic Haidilao has opened a sister concept — Hi Hot Pot — designed to be much kinder to your wallet. As someone who walks into a hotpot establishment with big dreams and walks out with a full stomach (and empty wallet), this counts as a win in my books.
Here, you will get to choose from seven premium soup bases. Options include the Signature HK Golden Soup with Fish Maw Pot, Exclusive Sichuan Suancai Fish Pot, Nanyang Signature Curry Chicken Pot and more.
The hotpot comes in two sizes: the small pot is ideal for two to three people and starts from S$32.90, while the large pot can feed up to six diners and starts at S$39.90.
Each hotpot is already pre-loaded with ingredients but if you’re like me and can’t resist adding a little extra, there’s also a wide selection of foods you can choose from. Highlights include Signature Tiger Shrimp Paste (S$9.90), Signature 10-seconds Sliced Beef (S$12.90), and Australian Grass-Fed Lamb Slices (S$9.90).
Craving a snack? Their snack menu is drool-worthy. I’m specifically looking at the Signature Fried Musang King Durian Mochi (S$3.90), HiHi Crispy Fried Pork (S$6.90), and Golden Fried Buns (S$2.90) but all of the fried items look amazing.
To celebrate the first opening, they are running an irresistible promotion. For a top-up of an additional S$1, you can enjoy an unlimited buffet of beverages, desserts, sauces, and appetisers. Psst, there is also a station where you can make your tea.
Plus, for every hotpot ordered, you can top up S$2.99 to choose from one of these three dishes: Signature Fried Musang King Durian Mochi, Signature Tiger Shrimp Paste, and HiHi Crispy Fried Pork.

With its affordable prices and tempting variety, Hi Hot Pot may just end up being my new go-to spot.
