Kazutake Ramen is a 24-hour Japanese eatery in Ang Mo Kio with S$8.50 ramen, sushi & bubble tea

Here’s a supper spot that has sprouted up in Ang Mo Kio, and no, it’s not the usual prata, mookata, or hotpot.

If you’re craving a piping hot bowl of ramen or even sashimi in the wee hours of the night, a visit to Kazutake Ramen will do just the trick.

This casual eatery, which is located about a 13-minute bus ride or an 18-minute walk from Ang Mo Kio MRT station (good news if you live nearby, though), is open 24 hours, so you can head down literally anytime you like!

The interior is bright and spacious, with Japanese motif-lined walls and plenty of seating for large groups. There are also self-ordering kiosks located at the entrance of the eatery that’ll make your dining experience smooth and fuss-free.

Food-wise, look forward to an extensive selection of ramen, donburi, sashimi, maki sushi, and a la carte items at fairly affordable prices. Prices for ramen start from S$8.50 for Shoyu Ramen, and go up to S$13.50 for either a Sumo Yakiniku Ramen or Sumo Yakiniku Chashu Ramen.

You can even find unique ramen options like Mala Ramen (S$11.50); assorted Mazemen (from S$10.90), otherwise known as mazesoba; vegetarian-friendly Yasai Ramen (S$9.90); and even Kamo Ramen (S$11.50) with duck.

Not in the mood for ramen? Keep it simple with a Mini Chirashi Don (S$11.50) or take it up a notch with slightly more premium don options like Unagi Chirashi Don (S$15.50), Salmon Belly Ikura Don (S$18.50), and Gyu Niku Don (S$12.50).

If you’re the sort that craves sushi and sashimi at the most random time of day, take your pick from the array of sashimi including hamachi, salmon belly, and maguro (there’s also a Sashimi Mori 4 kinds priced at S$22.50 for those seeking variety), alongside the heartier Salmon Sushi Set (from S$12.50) and Caramelized Salmon Maki (S$11.50).

Interestingly enough, Kazutake Ramen also sells bubble tea in a wide variety of flavours, like Brown Sugar Milk Tea (S$3.50), Yuzu Fresh Milk (S$3.50), Taro (S$3.50), and Matcha (S$3.50). It’s pretty hard to find a 24/7 bubble tea shop, especially in the heartlands, so I wouldn’t be surprised if people visit just for their BBT fix.
