Celebrating the milestone 10th edition of Light to Night Singapore 2026, our Civic District will be transformed into a dynamic, living canvas from 9 January 2026 to 31 January 2026. Spanning four full weeks, this marks the longest festival run to date. With the celebration less than a month away, here’s what to expect from the annual vibrant festival

Carrying the theme The Power in Us, the festival celebrates the richness of diverse perspectives, and strength in community. Featuring an illuminating line-up of interactive art installations, explore the five sites around the Civic District the Padang, Empress Lawn, Front Lawn at The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum Green and Esplanade Park.

A new program, part of Light to Night 2026, features artist Michael Lin’s large-scale installations and iconic floral motifs that transform public spaces. At the Singapore Gallery’s Courtyard, Lin presents a participatory indoor installation whose final outcome depends entirely on public participation. Using hand-painted wooden furniture pieces, you can sit and rearrange the idle furniture, forming a new composition compared to when first made.

Other highlights include an immersive weekend artwork activation on the Padang grounds, projection mappings on the Civic District’s iconic buildings, and the Art x Social: Festival Village which has expanded to both St. Andrew’s Road and Empress Lawn.

Following the 2025 success of the village, the 2026 Art x Social: Festival Village will take place at the Asian Civilisations Museum, offering a line-up of food and drink stalls, DJ sets, and roving performances throughout the weekends.

Beyond large-scale activations, a range of free and ticketed programmes will run throughout the festival. Activities include the community choir Sing Song Social Club, playful art tours by Zaki Hussain, and Life Prep (Art x Bakes), a multi-sensory dining experience.

Light to Night 2026 will also coincide with Singapore Art Week 2026, setting the tone for a lively and art-filled start to the year.

Whether you are getting off a tiring day at work, or setting up a whole lightshow trail to explore, Light to Night 2026 is a celebration everyone has to see at least once.
