Lock in your 2026 goals with these 5 tracking methods, starting with visual moodboards

Everyone’s hyper-focused on Christmas, but once it passes, the New Year anxiety slowly seeps in. Before you panic and spiral into a quarter-life crisis, we’ve done our research and came up with five effective methods to keep your New Year’s resolutions on track.

1. Visual Moodboard

Creating a visual moodboard of your New Year’s resolutions is a concept that trends every year—even some of our team members are already in the midst of creating their 2026 visual moodboards!

Start by prioritising your must-have resolutions, like travel plans, career, fitness, family and friends. Next, find photos on Pinterest that match your vision. For instance, if Paris is on your 2026 travel list, save images of the Eiffel Tower for your moodboard.

Once you’ve gathered your visuals, turn them into a cute, aesthetically pleasing montage on Canva. If you prefer getting your hands dirty, prepare art supplies, an A3-sized board and plenty of printed photos or magazine cut-outs.

Remember to place your moodboard somewhere you’ll see every day to stay motivated.

2. Vision Bingo

Perhaps a moodboard sounds tedious, and what motivates you instead is levelling up in games.

If that’s the case, we’re introducing you to an entirely new concept—visual bingos! Create a bingo template on Canva, or source ready-made aesthetic bingo templates from Pinterest, and plot 24 New Year’s resolutions you’re determined to achieve.

This approach is less nerve-wracking, as the goal is simply to complete as many tasks as possible while getting closer to a bingo. Sounds fun, right?

3. Master Tracker

Maybe bingos and moodboards aren’t your thing—you prefer structure in your goals and want to track progress rather than outcomes. In that case, you’ll enjoy crafting up a master tracker on Notion, Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

We understand that Notion may look daunting for beginners, but it offers efficient ways to set up a master tracker and update it conveniently from your mobile device.

This tracker method is perfect for our Type A readers or people who are naturally born planners!

4. Scripting

This one’s for our maladaptive daydreamers who subconsciously manifest what they strive for through imagination. Moodboards, bingos, and Notion boards might feel restrictive to them. Instead, they rely on their imagination to visualise what their ideal life could look like.

However, these imaginations often stay stuck in their heads. Try writing them out in vivid detail, and fully convince yourself that this is the reality you’re currently living in. The more you do it, the more motivated you’ll feel to make it come true

5. Habit Streak Tracker

Last but not least, it’s the habit streak tracker method. For those who aren’t chronically online, a trend of TikTok users has shared their experiences following the Hard 75 Rules or the Soft 75 Rules. These rules are fixed, and you’ll follow them for 75 consecutive days.

If that sounds scary, don’t worry! You can use the 75 rules as a guide to build your own list and ensure you follow through without breaking your streak. Documenting your journey on social media helps track your progress throughout the 75 days—but if you prefer to keep things private, habit apps are a great alternative for monitoring your progress.

Habit apps like Habitify, Daylio, and others are useful if you’re determined to see this challenge through.

These five tracker methods worked wonders in 2025, helping some of us achieve major goals. After the holiday celebrations, take time to plan the resolutions you want to achieve in the coming year and pick the tracker that works best for you.
