We were probably all disappointed when Marquee Singapore announced that they wouldn’t be opening its doors even when other clubs like Zouk and Yang were getting ready for their big comeback. Having been raved about by some of the partying capitals of the world like Las Vegas and New York City, many of us have been eagerly anticipating the club’s re-opening in Singapore in April only to be hit with uncertainty (and disappointment).
That’s all in the past now because from 1 July onwards, we will finally be able to party at Marquee as it opens its doors and dancefloors at Marina Bay Sands once again.
With the club being forced to shut down just less than a year after it’s opening due to COVID restrictions, many of us definitely haven’t had our fill at this whimsical wonderland of a club.
But wait—before you can hop onto the club’s renowned eight-armed ferris wheel, three-storey slides or electrifying dance floor, there are a few things to take note of.
Though restrictions have eased and we are well on our way to getting back with our pre-COVID lives (No jinxes!), it’s still important to be careful to prevent another outbreak. For that, you’ll have to follow the establishment’s safe management measures (like being vaccinated) and present a negative ART test result before being allowed to enter into the club.
Table reservations and purchasing tickets beforehand are not a must, but it is probably wiser to do so to ensure entry into the club. You don’t wanna get all dolled up and travel downtown all psyched up and ready to party only to get turned away at the door due to a full house!
Now that the long wait for the club’s re-opening is over, maybe we can start pining for some of the stellar line-ups that have brought the house down at Marquee before like Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Tiesto (I have my fingers crossed!) and some of our favourite local DJs too.
