Hello #McDSuperFans, I’m sure you are familiar with McDonald’s McSpicy Museum held at Bugis Junction earlier this year.
But did you know that Shenzhen houses a six-storey museum offering immersive exhibitions to celebrate the history of the brand?
The museum’s location is also strategic and symbolic as the first McDonald’s in China was opened in Shenzhen.
The Mai Mai Museum first welcomed super fans on the 1st of June 2025, in conjunction with Children’s Day in China.
The exterior of the museum resembles a Happy Meal Box, with a prominent yellow zig-zag staircase featuring large inflatable McNuggets. At the entrance of the museum, you can snap a picture with Ronald Mcdonald’s statue on the bench.
In the museum, expect to find nostalgic Happy Meal toys from Toy Story, Madagascar, and other rare toys. Special editions of the Happy Meal box are also featured at the museum.
Admire archived photos of China’s first McDonald’s, as well as retro artefacts like the brand’s iconic Hello Kitty and Snoopy collaborations.
Aside from the exhibits, nostalgic old-school orange sofas and burger stools from McDonald’s birthday parties can also be seen.
Each visitor to the Mai Mai Museum can purchase an exclusive Museum Combo Meal, inclusive of two McWings, medium fries and a cup of Coke.
Each ticket to the museum also comes with a sure-win lottery ticket for prizes from the museum.
There is also a themed photobooth for you to snap a few pictures to commemorate your visit to the museum.
McDonald fans, is Mai Mai Museum the next to tick off your bucket list?
