Whatās better than spending your lazy afternoon lounging at a cafe?
Thereās only one correct answer and it is one where you get to bring your furkids along.
On Pause is a pet-friendly cafe just ten minutes away from Kovan MRT.
Decked out in clean, minimalistic aesthetics and teak furnishings, this makes for a cosy hangout to chill with your a-dog-able doggos.
Regardless of whether youāre bringing a golden retriever or corgi, thereās ample space for your pets to roam around in the open space.
But, in case the heat starts getting to you, there are air-conditioned areas tucked away at the back for you to cool down.
If youāre planning to drop by, do take note that their Brunch Menu is only available from 9amā2.30pm.
Afterwards, the menu caters more towards sweet treats including gelato, coffee, and artisanal desserts from 5.30pmā10pm.
For those who are here in the morning, you might be in the mood for hearty, paw-licious brunch fare such as the breakfast sandwiches.
Opt for the Breakfast Sammie (S$16) which comprises toasted housemade milk buns, soft and fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy maple bacon, and hashbrowns (a classic combination that never goes out of style).
Alternatively, if you want to try something different, the Portobello Pesto Sammie (S$17) features housemade milk buns, pistachio pesto, avocado, sauteed onions, mozzarella and cheddar.
Coming on an empty stomach?
Refuel your energy with the hearty Breakfast Plate (S$23) comprising toasted sourdough, fluffy scrambled eggs, smoky pork sausage and bacon, hashbrown, and salad ā just thinking about it is making my stomach grumble.
Dessert lovers can easily get your ice cream and waffles fix here given thatĀ they have the classic flavours like Thai Milk Tea, Hazelnut Rocher, Belgian Dark Chocolate or Sicilian Pistachio from just S$4.50āS$6.
But, do take note that these flavours are on rotation so you might want to check in before heading down to avoid disappointment!
Top up an additional S$7 for the fluffy freshly made Waffles to end your cafe experience on a sweeter note.
There are less indulgent sweet treats such as the Acai Bowl (S$12.50) with creamy acai base, fresh fruits & crunchy granola, as well as the Chocolate Banana Bread (S$4) that boasts fluffy and moist bread with generous chunks of chocolate chips looks equally tempting.
Thereās also a dedicated corner in the cafe that sells gourmet dog treats from Four Paws Pantry so that your fur babies donāt miss out on the whole cafe hopping experience while you enjoy your brunch (itās only fair right?).
The snacks do seem pretty unique and interesting ā they’ve put their own creative twist to familiar snacks like Bork Kwa Biscuits (S$10.50), Ondeh Ondeh (S$12.80), Keropok Toasties (S$12) and more.
Fellow paw-rents, there are power outlets available as well if you need to finish up any work or are planning to stay there for a while.
