Fellow girlbosses (and kings), know this — “The most important relationship in your life is the relationship you have with yourself”. Just like in any other relationship, you gain a deeper connection when you get to know yourself better. While you should definitely take the results with a pinch of salt, these five free personality tests are perfect for you to discover your strengths and weaknesses, and to figure out what makes you tick (plus, they’re so fun to do)!
1. VisualDNA Who Am I? Quiz
If you’re tired of all the wordy personality tests, this quiz is perfect for you. Instead of the standard multiple-choice answers, you’ll answer a series of questions by picking the image that speaks to you the most.
The results are pretty extensive for a free test — you’ll discover elements of your personality and how they combine for a deeper insight into specific traits.
2. Emotional Intelligence Test
Wondered how you might fare in various social situations? This test scores your EQ against a grand total of 200 points — but of course, it’s tough to “grade” emotional intelligence just based on a short quiz. If you’re really interested in going in-depth, check out this 45-minute-long test from Psychology Today instead.
3. Love Styles Test
Most of us probably already know about the five love languages, but that’s so nineteenth century. Instead, discover these seven distinct ways of receiving and expressing love, from intellectual to financial love languages, and find out which suits you best. It could be a real eye-opener regardless of whether you’re coupled up or single and ready to mingle!
4. Personal Colour Test
If you were a colour, which one would you be? This super cute Korean website has a ton of personality tests, but one of the most popular ones is this particular colour test. Fair warning though — the English translation is still a little rough and gets straight to the point, so you might just feel attacked.
There’s even a little hidden easter egg — once you’ve completed the quiz, your predicted MBTI is actually embedded within the URL of your result page! It might differ a little from your actual MBTI, but I’d say that it’s generally pretty accurate.
5. Bonus: Mensa IQ Challenge
Yes, we all have different strengths (or at least, that’s what I told myself after taking this test). However, it might be fun to try out this IQ challenge with friends and compete to see whose score is the highest — it’s defo going to bring out the competitive streak in you.
Knowledge is power, besties. Ready to uncover new things about yourself?
