The time has finally come — a dedicated cruise for you and your lil’ kitty. The Royal Albatross has heard your plea and will be releasing the world’s fur-ist Cat Cruise. Yes, that’s right, you and your cat can now enjoy a romantic four-course meal out at sea and under the stars.
The Royal Albatross Cat Cruise was inspired by the wildly popular Dog Cruise. After seeing how popular the Dog Cruise was, the Royal Albatross has heard your plea and is now introducing a cat-friendly version of the cruise, complete with cat-themed activities that are fun for all.
In order to create a safe space for your furbabies, the team at Royal Albatross have implemented safety measures to ensure that no accidents and cat fights happen onboard. There will also be a safety briefing conducted by the captain himself — make sure to pay attention if you wanna leave the boat scratch-free.
It is worth mentioning that this cruise is not suited for all cats. Some cats do prefer staying unbothered and at home — and that’s okay. But if your cat is the sociable type and is purr-fectly fine with the great outdoors, then this cat cruise is the ideal dinner spot for your whole family. However, if you wish to take your cat onboard, they’ll need to meet the requirements of the cruise before they are allowed onboard. You can check the requirements here.
The cruise will set you back around S$225 per person for a two-and-a-half hour sailing session and a four-course dinner menu and don’t worry, your cat will sail for free. For dinner, you can look forward to a fancy seafood meal with Seared Scallops in XO Sauce, Classic Seafood Bouillabaisse, and Garganelli with Beef and Mushroom. For dessert, an Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream. If you’re feeling extra boujee, you can go for the seven-course dinner meal
However, unlike the Dog Cruise, there will not be a separate menu for your kitties to dine. That’s because some kitties might not be comfortable dining outside of their homes. Instead, they’ll be given a complimentary furry goody bag containing a gourmet cat dinner which they can really enjoy in the comfort of their own homes.
On board, your feline companions will also have access to a personal cabin, AKA a “Catacomb” with a guaranteed sea view right next to your table — suddenly I’m envious of my cat’s life. Other unique cat-centric experiences onboard include the “Pussy Cat Lounge” which has plenty of playtime activities and cat-themed entertainment for all. Your little furbabies can get warmed up here before heading out for dinner.
