If you frequent KINEX in Paya Lebar, be it for running errands or late-night hotpot sessions, chances are you’ve probably walked past Summer Bliss Desserts (井澤冰甜), a humble dessert kiosk that quietly popped up in early-March 2024.

Hailing from Chengdu, China, with over 100 outlets under their belt, they specialise in adorable, intricately-designed desserts that look (almost) too good to eat — think shaved ice, ice cream, cakes, and souffle pancakes.

They’re perhaps best known for Snow Ice (S$15.90), which come in over 15 different flavours ranging from melon and tiramisu milk to the ever-so-popular taro and even cherry blossom.

For instance, the Panda Ice Tube Dessert is composed of matcha-flavoured snow ice, tofu pudding, matcha jelly, melon balls, popping boba, matcha biscuits, and panda-shaped soft candy — a literal mouthful.

Order the Large Snow Ice (S$19.90) that can feed two to three diners, such as the Dainty Pineapple Frost and Dreamy Taro Bliss.

If you’re a solo diner, small eater, or simply want to try a greater variety of desserts, the Hand-Held Cup Series (S$11.90) will come in handy. Order this if you want to be able to enjoy your shaved ice on the go!

Feel free to further jazz up your snow ice of choice with condiments like popping candy, popping boba, and condensed milk. Kinda like what you can find at Korean bingsu joints.

Otherwise, take your pick from the selection of animal-shaped Ice Cream (S$9.90) that are bound to be a hit with kids.

If you’re not in the mood for a frosty, ice-cold confection, go for one of the cakes (S$9.90), like the Matcha Basque, Oreo Avalanche, and Salted Egg Yolk.

Alternatively, go down the traditional route and order the Soy Pot Bliss (S$19.90), soy milk with toppings like sweet potato balls, red bean, and popping boba served in a “hotpot”. Sounds pretty comforting, if you ask me.

Which of these IG-worthy desserts will you be getting your hands on first?
