Located at Marina Bay Link Mall is The Crispy Crepes, a Thai-owned takeaway-only kiosk that sells not just Thai desserts and beverages, but also savoury snacks that aren’t commonly sold in Singapore.

Their signature? An array of sweet and savoury crepes in 15 flavours, including classic combinations like Choco Banana (S$5.50) and Husband’s Favourite (S$6.50) — Nutella with strawberries.

Otherwise, go for fun flavour pairings like the Very Berry (S$6.50), a berry-filled bonanza of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, sweet cream, and raspberry sauce, or the Matcha Munchies (S$7.50), which is served slathered in green tea milk almond spread, and drizzled with Koko Krunch and sliced almonds.

As for savoury options, opt for the Red Floss (S$7.50), that comes with crab stick, pork floss, mayo, chilli sauce, and Thai chilli paste; and the Salmon Delight (S$8.50), packed with smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese.

Fans of Thai banana roti will probably enjoy the indulgent Golden Floss (S$7.50), which combines Thai sweet egg floss (foi thong) with Nutella and banana.

You can also choose to DIY your own crepe (from S$4) with your choice of spreads, toppings, and drizzles, including the likes of Ovomaltine, assorted Jam, Kaya (from) Raffles Hotel, and Sausages.

Early birds who head down between 8am to 11am can also grab a sandwich or two in variations like Butter Milk Sugar (S$3.50), Ham & Cheese (S$4.50), and even Chilli Paste & Pork Floss (S$4).

They resemble the toasties sold at 7-Eleven Thailand that everyone goes crazy for, so why not give them a try if you’ve no plans to visit +66 anytime soon?

Visit after 11am if you’d like to get your hands on popular Thai street snacks like Thai Mini Crispy Crepes (S$5), or khanom buang, mini taco-like crepes topped or filled with meringue, followed by sweet or salty toppings, most notably, egg floss.

You can also find Coconut Rice Mini Pancakes (S$5.50), Quail Eggs (S$5), and Mango Sticky Rice (S$6.50), for those missing the bustling night markets.

Wash it all down with Thai-style beverages like Thai Iced Milk Tea (S$4.50), Thai Milk Milo Coffee (S$4.50), and refreshing Strawberry Thai Green Tea (S$5.50).

But this restaurant in the CBD is taking dessert buffets to the next level by offering a new unlimited crêpe buffet for just S$17.90 per person with freshly made crêpes, free flow toppings alongside coffee or tea. 

The crêpe buffet is brought to you by Kapitan, a Slavic restaurant located along Maxwell Road. They specialise in Eastern-European dishes and are most known for their handmade dumplings. 

In case you’re wondering why the name sounds so familiar, that’s because it’s the same restaurant that went viral on tiktok. 

They’ve recently announced that they’ll be doing a free-flow crêpe buffet from now until 10 February 2024 — I don’t know about you but I’m super excited about this. 

You must be thinking ‘free-flow crêpes? How can anyone have that as a full meal?’ Well, hear me out. 

While crêpes are typically enjoyed for dessert, Kapitan does it a little differently by offering both sweet and savoury toppings to pair with the freshly made crêpes. Plus, the buffet only costs S$17.90 per person — all that for unlimited crepes and free-flow toppings? Yes please. 

Pair your crêpes with toppings like bacon, sauteed mushrooms, chicken ham, cream cheese, honey, sour cream, and more. But, my favourite pairing with crêpe is condensed milk — which fortunately is also offered here! 

They’ve also got toppings like smoked salmon, chocolate, parma ham and flavoured jam. However, these are considered premium toppings and will be available at an additional top up starting from S$2 (depending on the topping of choice).

If you’re feeling extra boujee, they even have red caviar available for you to pair with your crêpes. 

The buffet will also entitle you to a complimentary coffee or tea — you’re gonna need this to fight off the food coma after all those crêpes. 

However, there is a catch. In order for you to enjoy this special promotion, everyone at the table has to order crêpe — so maybe don’t invite that one friend who doesn’t like crêpes.

 You’ll also be required to finish your crêpe before you can order another set, to minimise wastage, so don’t get too greedy. 

The crêpe buffet is only available on Sundays, from 11am to 1pm, and will end on 10 February 2024. The buffet dining period is also limited to 90 minutes.

Great news to all dipndip superfans! The popular chocolate cafe has finally opened its first outlet in Singapore — It’s about time.

The chocolatey dessert store can be found at Level one of VivoCity — if you can’t find them, just follow the sweet smell of melted chocolate. Inside, you’ll be greeted by retro candy-shaped lights and multiple chocolate fountains overflowing with their three signature chocolate sauces — white, dark, and milk chocolate.

For those who aren’t familiar with Dipndip, they’re a Muslim-owned chocolate dessert cafe best known for their decadent desserts like brownies, crepes, and waffles drenched in a rich chocolate-y sauce — perfect for one of those days where you just need a sugary boost. All their ingredients are halal-certified.

Fans of their (multiple) outlets in Malaysia would be thrilled to know that they can find their favourite chocolatey goodness here in Singapore whenever the random sugary craving hits. On the menu here, the popular favourites include the Strawberry Banana Delight (S$15.80), Crunchy Chocolate Pancakes (S$15.80), Triple Chocolate Crepe (S$11.80), Banana Wrap Crepe (S$13.80) and of course The Chocolate Burj (S$22.80).

The fan favourite Fettuccine Crepe (S$17.80) is also available on the Singapore menu. In case you’re wondering, the dessert doesn’t comprise of real pasta noodles. Instead, it is crepe made into fettuccine strands doused generously in chocolate sauce of your choice, and topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

If you can’t decide between which sauce to get, you can always request for a half-half where you get to try two sauces — we went with the dark chocolate and milk chocolate half-half. The dark chocolate was rich and chocolatey but the milk chocolate really stole the show.

The milk chocolate was smooth, milky and not overly sweet — which is great for those who don’t have a massive sweet tooth. The vanilla ice cream really makes the dessert less jelak while adding a touch of creaminess to the chocolate-heavy dessert. Having visited both the Singapore and Malaysia outlet, the chocolates here are not as decadent or cloying as in Malaysia.

Dipndip also has other less chocolate-centric desserts like the Caramel Cheesecake Bars (S$18.80). It comprises a specialty cream, lemon biscuit crunch, fresh seasonal fruits, drizzled with some milk chocolate sauce. The cream makes the cheesecake bars super creamy and elevates the flavours of the cream cheese.

The biscuit crumbs gives the dessert a nice crunch and an extra cinnamon flavour. The seasonal fruits also give the dessert a nice and refreshing sour zing that makes the dish less jelak too. As a cheesecake lover, this dessert really won my heart — no surprises that I’ll be back for more of this.

The cafe also serves delicious milkshakes that are equally sinful and decadent — but definitely worth every sip. I love the Strawberry Mighty Milkshake (S$13.80) which is sweet and lightly tangy, and very creamy — just how I like my milkshakes.

They also have a S’Mores Mighty Milkshake (S$13.80) which comes with toasted marshmallows, signature vanilla and chocolate biscuit crunch. The milkshake had a strong nutty flavour to it which I personally was not a fan of. I would have preferred it if were a little more chocolatey and milky.

Dipndip Singapore has an exclusive kid’s menu which is great for those who plan on giving their little ones a sweet treat. They’ve also got an exciting savoury menu expected to be released soon — I’m already looking forward to trying their savoury dishes.

Some hearty combos you can get at French Fold’s Orchard outlet include the classic No. 04 (S$17), a sizeable galette loaded with the umami richness of ham chiffonade, sauteed mushrooms, Comte cheese, and a sunny side up.

Looking for something more unique? They’ve also put out local-inspired spins like No. 11 (S$17) with satay chicken and No. 12 (S$17) with masala chicken.

Ultimately though, most of us prefer crepes as desserts — can you really beat the allure of silky soft crepes finished with some decadent sweet sauces? The Raffles Hotel creperie is opened by the brains behind Ronin and Punch, so expect a high-quality café experience here. Customers can even see their crepes made ala minute at the crepe stations.

A must order here is their Burnt Caramel, a sweet ensemble of caramel and the world-famous Bordier butter atop pillowy crepes. Alternatively, savouries like the Off the Bone, mix of ham, Gruyere, Cheddar, and egg, are a good choice for a healthy dose of umami.

Before the former two popped up, Entre Nous Creperie’s was highly recommended for the best crepes in Singapore. Especially by expats, who enjoyed their authentic Brittany-style crepes.

Popular sweets here include Geraldine’s Favourite, filled with cooked apples and given a pop of flavour by homemade caramel. Their galettes are 100% buckwheat flour which pair well with heartier flavours from combos like Emmental, button mushrooms, and Bechamel sauce.

The White Rabbit

The romantic refurbished chapel restaurant will be undergoing renovations and a rebranding in May 2021. This is the last chance to savour one of the classic crepes in Singapore before the facelift.

Mocchi is a new dessert place that serves up cute little Japanese-style desserts. While they offer other sweets like mochi and cakes, it’s their crepes that have gotten a lot of attention.

The crepes come in Cheese or Matcha, but the latter is the popular choice. It features a delicate matcha crepe that wraps around a core of mascarpone and a crepe base. It comes with a “bubble” of sauce that can be burst to drench it in matcha sauce.
