Halloween 2023 is just around the corner, and if you haven’t already made plans to “celebrate” we might just have the perfect Halloween-themed event for you. Tampines 1 Halloween Scaretacular is back with a super scary haunted maze, free photobooths, makeovers and more!
You must be wondering “how scary can this haunted maze be? It’s literally located in the neighbourhood mall.” Well, think again.
Let’s just say, they pulled out all the stops with this one. From the very dedicated scare actors, to the props and decorations, the maze is packed with jumpscares that will have you screaming from start to finish — literally.
This year’s Wax Museum edition of Halloween Scaretacular will also feature some of your favourite horror movie characters (or worst nightmares). If you successfully manage to keep your eyes open throughout the, you might be able to spot some familiar movie characters like the Nun and Annabelle.
The maze is definitely not for the faint hearted — we actually saw someone crying after walking through the maze, so consider yourself warned. Inside, you’ll have to wander through darkness to find your way out. All we can say, without giving too much away, is that the scare actors will jump out from every possible corner.
And yes, the scare actors take their jobs very seriously, so don’t be surprised if you let out massive screams. I’ve got to give a special shout out to the makeup artists and costume designers for giving them such impressive looks. All I can say is, this haunted maze definitely matches up with Halloween Horror Nights.
If you think you have what it takes to make it out of this maze unscathed, then we highly recommend you give it a go. The maze is more enjoyable when you drag a few friends along with you, best if they scare easily — that way you’ll get a good laugh in between screams.
You’ll need an event pass to enter the maze which can be redeemed for free when you spend a minimum of S$50 (capped at two passes). Alternatively, the Horror Maze event pass can be purchased for just S$10.
Each Horror Maze event pass will entitle you to a free makeover session, where you can go all out and transform yourself into a horror movie character with some realistic and super gory temporary tattoos — if the horror maze didn’t scare you, maybe your mother’s reaction to your gory tattoos might scare you. There’re also some cutesy (and less scary) halloween-themed tattoos.
Once your makeover is complete, don’t forget to strike a pose at the photo op spot with some dismembered body parts as props. You’ll also get to bring home a complimentary photostrip to remember your eventful (or horrific) night.
