Middle Eastern cuisine is no longer a flight away—WeWa is a new quick-service restaurant serving Middle Eastern street food.

Designed to be both affordable and accessible, WeWa’s outlets at Orchard Gateway and WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa seem reminiscent of our fast food chains.

But don’t be fooled, their flavours are anything but “fast”.

At WeWa, shawarma meats are marinated for over 12 hours in a secret blend of spices before being slow-roasted in their open kitchen. If you’re dining in, you’ll be able to watch the tender, juicy meat spinning slowly on the spits.

From crispy falafel to tahini, every component is made fresh in-house daily.

Of course, the stars of the show are the proteins, each marinated in distinct spice blends tailored to highlight their natural characteristics

All proteins can be enjoyed as Junior Pitas (S$6 to S$8), the full-sized Pitas (S$11 to S$14), protein-rich Keto Bowls (S$11 to S$14), or fragrant Rice Bowls (S$11 to S$14).

The Chicken Shawarma is enhanced by a bright, aromatic marinade, while the Beef Shawarma is layered with earthy spices, cinnamon, and coriander seeds.

For the seafood enthusiasts, the Prawn Shawarma plays up the natural sweetness of the seafood.

Plant-based eaters can opt for the Falafel, made with blended chickpeas and spices in a crispy coating.

Each serving comes loaded with quintessentially Middle Eastern toppings such as pickled cabbage, fresh tomatoes, mint-and-coriander salad, sumac onions, and pickled cucumbers.

What’s a fast food concept without sides? Complete your meal with the WeWa Fries (S$5) or the traditional dessert Malabi (S$5), a creamy Middle Eastern coconut cream pudding topped with peanuts and coconut flakes.

For drinks, reach for the Gazoz Soda (S$2.90), which comes in refreshing options like Cucumber, Pomegranate, and Apricot.

There’s even a range of merchandise, decked out in WeWa’s signature bright orange colour, from the reusable WEWA Bottle (S$12.90) to the We(Wander) Reversible Tote (S$48).

WeWa is set to open its third outlet at Novena Square 2 by September 2025. Will you be there or be square?
