World of Frozen is opening in Hong Kong Disneyland this November with an Olaf rollercoaster, viking boat ride, cute merch & more

For the first time in forever!

We’ve got some exciting news for Frozen fans and parents of children obsessed with the Frozen franchise. You’ll soon be able to explore Arendelle, the hometown of Elsa and Anna as the highly-anticipated World of Frozen will be officially opening in Hong Kong Disneyland on 20 November 2023 — just in time for the year-end school holidays!

The World of Frozen is the world’s first and largest Frozen-themed land. Prepare to be transported to Arendelle and meet Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and more. The new attraction will feature two new rides and one meet-and-greet experience. Can’t hold it (your excitement) back anymore? Me neither. Here’s what you can expect to find in Arendelle.

The first ride is the Frozen Ever After, an indoor boat ride that takes you on a little trip to Elsa’s palace. Along the way, you’ll meet other characters like Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and even Olaf. You’ll also be entertained with songs and scenes from the movie soundtrack — parents brace yourselves for an endless loop of ‘Let It Go’ and “Into The Unknown”.

For something a little more adventurous, hop on the Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs which is a rollercoaster powered by Olaf and Sven. Much like a sleigh ride, the comedic duo will “pull” you up a hill, where you’ll be treated to a stunning view of Arendelle. Following which, you’ll head back down to where you came from.

This next experience will probably be every little girl’s dream come true. The Playhouse in the Woods is an interactive play experience with Anna and Elsa. You will actually be inside the girls’ childhood playroom. I hope Anna asks me “Do you wanna build a snowman?”

Once you’re here, of course you have to check out what Arendellians eat in this beautiful little town. Try some Nordic-inspired dishes at the Golden Crocus Inn or treat yourself to some Frozen treats at the Northern Delights

What’s a trip to Disneyland if you don’t bring home any merch? But be warned, you might spend a lot here because the merch is all super adorable. They have a whole range of Nordic-themed sweaters, socks, bags, and head scarfs. My favourite are the Olaf merch which includes a small plushie, and the popcorn bucket — it is irresistibly cute, I must have it!

Complete your magical time in Arendelle by spending a night at Disneyland hotel. If you’re planning to book a night’s stay at the hotel which comes with matching Frozen bedroom slippers — so cute!

Do you wanna build a snowman with Elsa and Anna?
