2026 is looming in less than two weeks, and many of us are still reeling from the post-holiday haze. In case you missed it, we’ve gathered 12 things you can look forward to this January, perfect for easing into the new year.

1. Light to Night

Start the year with every Singaporean’s favourite public installation—Light to Night 2026. Happening from 9 January 2026 to 31 January 2026, you can kick off a New Year’s date with a stroll across five sites in the Civic District: The Padang, Empress Lawn, Front Lawn at The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum Green and Esplanade Park.

We recommend starting from Esplanade Park and ending near The Arts House, where you’ll get to expand your trinket collections at nearby booths and have your fill of street snacks, too.

Each stop offers majestic light installations, live music, entertainment, and picture-perfect backdrops for your first selfies of 2026
