Enjoy fireworks, games, and more at these 7 heartland spots

Christmas may be on your mind now, but once it passes, the countdown to 2026 kicks in. You can sign up for upcoming New Year’s Eve parties but if that’s not your scene, head down to popular spots like the Helix Bridge or Marina Barrage to catch the fireworks instead. 

If you prefer to keep your New Year’s tradition closer to home, here are seven heartland locations that offer great views of the fireworks and a smaller crowd. 

1. Marsiling Countdown as One

Good news for our Marsiling folks—there’ll be a countdown party at Woodlands Secondary School’s field. This celebration promises a lively night of music, games, and colourful festivities. 

Enjoy performances by Boon Hui Lu, 53A, and Yati, followed by a fireworks display just before midnight. You can also contribute to a community art piece by adding colours to one of three large decorative banners.

2. Nee Soon Countdown 2026: Dare to Dream

This year’s Dare to Dream theme invites Nee Soon residents to embrace new beginnings and pursue their aspirations

Anticipate over 40 market booths, a Nee Soon Got Talent show, and a line-up of live performances. 

Bring your loved ones along and end the night with a dazzling fireworks finale. Don’t forget to Pre-register for a chance to receive an exclusive door gift, or simply walk-in since it’s a free event.

3. Hearts @ Boon Lay: Building Brighter Futures 2026

Our friends in the west, please hold back your pitchforks—Boon Lay has something amazing in store for New Year’s.

At the hard court near Boon Lay Place, enjoy a high-energy night featuring live performances across genres, from 60s grooves to popular hits that Gen Z and Gen Alphas adore.

Look forward to performances by CODE:US, Flaming Matrix, Little Band Plus, and DJ Joshua before the celebration wraps with a sea of fireworks lighting up the sky.

4. Our Tampines Hub Countdown Celebrations 2026

Our Tampines Hub is levelling up its countdown celebration with the Pororo Kids Carnival, featuring a Pororo-themed inflatable where little ones can bounce their way into the new year. 

Older children can enjoy e-sports and carnival games, while green-thumbed families can join gardening workshops on bonsai and air plant terrariums. 

The night ends with fireworks at midnight—a perfect moment to welcome the new year with loved ones.

5. One Punggol: Countdown to 2026

This year, One Punggol’s New Year celebration is set to entertain all ages with themed carnival zones, bouncy castles, free photo booths, and more.

Expect continuous live performances from community groups, from harmonica ensembles and karaoke demonstrations to Aura Gemalai and multicultural showcases. 

The night ends with a thrilling fire circus and dazzling fireworks to keep you on your toes.

6. Keat Hong Square: All To Gather

Keat Hong Constituency is hosting an All To Gather celebration, complete with a recycled fashion showcase featuring cancer survivors modelling sustainable outfits. 

MediaCorp’s sweetheart Joakim Gomez will take the stage as the main host, keeping the energy high throughout the night. Expect carnival games, rides, cardio dance, and a solid line-up of live performances, all ending with a dazzling fireworks display.

7. Woodlands Waterfront Countdown

A special treat awaits Woodlands residents—the first-ever Woodlands Waterfront Countdown will debut at Woodlands Waterfront Park. Picture ending 2025 with a breezy coastal view of Singapore.

The event features Sober Clubbing with DJ Ezra Hazard, alongside home-based businesses offering mocktails, brewed coffee, and unique snacks. Families with kids can look forward to a lively carnival zone complete with inflatables, a pirate ship ride, carnival games, and more! 

If you’re not driving, free shuttle buses from Woodlands North Plaza and Admiralty MRT bus stop will get you there easily. Sadly, this is the only heartland spot without its own fireworks show, though you might still catch a distant glimpse of the Marina Bay display if you look closely.
