Bonjour! Alice Boulangerie has unveiled its second outlet at Raffles City, and they’re serving up more than just French pastries. This time, they’ve debuted Fine Crumbs, an all-new bakery concept with gourmet buns.

Their newest outlet features both a walk-in bakery and a dine-in area with an open kitchen

It’s a woodland dream, from the English Scottish cottage-inspired interior to the warm-hued colour scheme. With its textured stone walls and creeping tree branches, this earthy space brings your fairytale forests to life.

In Asia, we take our bread seriously, and Fine Crumbs delivers with their take on creative buns, with both sweet and savoury options. Each bun is made with premium Japanese flour using the Yudane method, a traditional Japanese breadmaking technique that locks in moisture for that soft, chewy bite.

There are currently seven signature flavours, although more are expected to join the lineup progressively.

Those craving something sweet should make a beeline for the Matcha Nama Bun (S$6.50), boasting nama matcha chocolate and mascarpone matcha cream sandwiched within a matcha bun.

The chewy tang yuan is reimagined in the Black Sesame Peanut Mochi Bun (S$4.80) while the Pistachio Cream Bun (S$6.80) wraps things up with a nutty finish.

As for savouries, the Angus Short-Ribs Bun (S$7.70) is a surprise, with its 12-hour tender beef and crisp cucumber nestled within a matcha bun (yes, a matcha bun).

The Mentaiko Prawn Bun (S$5.20) is equally as interesting, with its pitch-black charcoal oat bun, tiger prawns, and Japanese mentaiko mayo.

There’s also the classic Egg Mania (S$3.80), a dark rye multigrain bun filled with egg mayo and a marinated soy egg. Or try the Beef Bulgogi Bun (S$5.70), a corn bun with sweet Korean-style marinated beef.

But don’t stop at buns, because there’s also a whole range of mains for a full meal. Starters include the Wagyu Beef Tartare (S$26) and Prawn Toast (S$22).

For something heartier, dig into the Aqua Pazza (S$39) with seared, smoked blood cod or the crowd-favourite Tiger Prawn Capellini (S$29).
