Eight-year-old Kevin is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for a Christmas holiday. At first, he is happy to be in charge, but when thieves try to break into his home, he decides to have a little mischief.

There are plenty of big names in the cast of Holidate, including the likes of Emma Roberts in the lead role, Nicola Peltz, and Kristin Chenoweth.

After meeting her perfect match on a dating app, an L.A. dating column writer learns she’s been catfished when she flies 3,000 miles to surprise him for Christmas, and shenanigans ensue when their fake relationship escalates.

After its hit debut in 2017, A Christmas Prince has spawned sequels, and become a full franchise. If you want to start at the beginning, the movie is a fun treat for those who enjoy romcoms with a tinge of seriousness. To get an insider scoop on a playboy prince, a reporter disguises as an American tutor, only to realise she’s in too deep when she develops a budding romance with the prince, and uncovers a royal secret.

7. Falling for Christmas

Falling for Christmas stars Lindsay Lohan in a fun Christmas flick. A young, newly-engaged heiress is unhappy with her life, and gets the chance to change it when she has a skiing accident in the days before Christmas. A cabin owner takes her in, and although she can’t remember anything, she begins to realise she’s happier living her new life.

What if your holiday calendar predicted the future? A photographer discovers that the antique Advent calendar she inherited seems to predict her future. When all signs point to a budding romance, and things start to change in her life, what will she do?

9. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

The grumpy Grinch decides to ruin Christmas by stealing everyone’s presents in Whoville, but he is conflicted about his plans when Whoville’s residents show him kindness, and he realises he doesn’t dislike Christmas after all.

One of the few Christmas-themed horror movies, Krampus is an adrenaline-fueled adventure that has a sinister tone. What happens when you lose the Christmas spirit? After an argument ensues in his family, a young boy loses interest in Christmas… and the family is terrorized by the Krampus, a being who attacks misbehaving children and their families during the holidays.

11. The Nightmare Before Christmas

A Tim Burton classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the most iconic animated films about both Halloween and Christmas. Jack Skellington, a being from Halloween Town, is tired of only celebrating Halloween, and decides to set his sights on Christmas Town, where he abducts Santa Claus, but soon realises he’s gone too far.

Jesper, a selfish postman, is sent to a dreary town split in half by rival families to take his duties seriously. When he finds a reclusive toymaker, Klaus, the duo decide to bring cheer to the town by bringing Christmas presents to its people, but it’ll take some Christmas spirit.

In Rise of the Guardians, Pitch, the Boogeyman, returns to spread nightmares throughout the world and attack children. A group of immortal guardians with extraordinary abilities, including Santa Claus, Jack Frost, The Easter Bunny, The Sandman, and the Tooth Fairy, join forces to protect the children, and save Christmas.

In Nailed It, disaster home bakers enter a baking competition – Nailed It, and their task in this holiday special? To recreate beautiful desserts. There’s going to be icing everywhere, and hilarious fails, as these bakers compete for the grand prize.

17. Die Hard

Anything set during Christmas also counts, including Die Hard. NYPD cop wanting to spend Christmas with his estranged wife, only to find out his wife and her colleagues have been taken hostage by a group of terrorists, and it’s up to him to save the day.

18. Hawkeye

While not a ‘Christmas’ show entirely, the events of Hawkeye take place over Christmas, as Kate Bishop gets entangled in a mafia altercation when she puts on Ronin’s suit, not knowing its significance. Clint Barton/Hawkeye, who has long discarded his alter ego as the Ronin, returns to confront his past one final time, as he and Kate fight to make it to Christmas. 

Other Marvel characters from other movies and shows also appear in Hawkeye, like Daredevil’s Kingpin and Yelena from Black Widow, for a fun-filled holiday-themed action show.
