Once you start hearing these iconic lines playing on the street, you know it’s that time of the year to head back to Orchard Road, enjoy the festivities, and start filling up your Instagram feed with photos of the dazzling decorations placed on the arch of the street.
Taking place from 9 November 2024 to 1 January 2025, this event is bound to be one of the highlights of the year. This time, Christmas on A Great Street is shaping up to look even more magnificent than before.
Quick question, have you ever seen a garden full of fireflies? No? Me neither. Regardless if the answer is a yes or no, this year’s theme promises to show you a view full of fireflies, alongside shining fir trees, red cardinal birds, jingle bells, and more!
Something to look forward to includes a 14m tall tree. You must be wondering — it’s only a tree la, what’s so special about it? Well, hold your horses (or reindeers, if you prefer), there will be programmed snowfall every day at 8pm and 9pm, as well as live performances on weekend nights starting from 10 November 2024 to 1 January 2025.
And, what’s Christmas without a little cheeky drink? ORBar is holding a bar-hopping event along the 400m stretch of ION Orchard to Ngee Ann City. You get to hop between four selected bars to get a bundle of eight signature cocktails till 31 December 2024, which can be redeemed from 1 November 2024 to 31 January 2025. Psst! It comes in the form of a passport, how cute.
So, how about grabbing a couple of friends to soak in the vibes together?
Or, you can also bring your family down to spend quality bonding time together. If you have kids, you don’t need to worry. There are also kid-friendly activities, such as rides, games, and more located all along the street.
Did you know technology is so advanced nowadays? You can simply use your phone to view the 100m tall visual projection along Hilton Singapore Orchard, transporting you into a snowy world full of golden sparkles, snowflakes, fireworks, and more.
Furthermore, to make it even more realistic, Music in the Air will be played synchronously from the speakers. This projection will last from 1 November 2024 to 1 January 2025.
You can also bring your little ones to the Great Christmas Villages, located at Shaw House Urban Plaza and at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, where y’all get to play on carnival rides, such as Flying Dumbo ride, Ferris Wheel, claw machines and more. This setup runs from 8 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.
