In addition to Starbucks’ Christmas drinks and our snow queen Mariah Carey, another recurring event that marks Christmas each year for Singaporeans is the return of the Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay. This year, it comes back (literally) brighter, with plenty of illuminated photo opportunities, and just in time as the restrictions ease just a bit as well.
Spalliera
The Spalliera is brought in directly from Italy and stands at seven storeys high.
Walk of Stars
The Walk of Stars is a light tunnel that stretches 44 metres and is made up of thousands of programmable star-shaped LED lights.
Enchanted Bridge
At 30 metres long and 7.7-metres tall, the Enchanted Bridge and its surrounding area is illuminated by 100,000 LED lights. So if you’re in search of the perfect photo op, this may very well be it.
Venetian Double-Storey Carousel
To ride this whimsical attraction, tickets have to be purchased in advance at S$10 for a single rider or S$15 for a child and an accompanying adult here.
Magical Carriage
Tinsel Castle
Garden Rhapsody
The perennial Supertree lights and sound show.
Carnival Games
La Casa di Santa Claus
Snap a photo with Father Christmas when he pops out for his meet and greet.
Mistletoe Alley Market
Of course, no Christmas carnival is complete without a festive market. At Mistletoe Alley Market, you’ll find European-style festive huts with plenty to shop — be it for yourself or for a loved one.
Entrance tickets have to be purchased in advance, so remember to book your tickets at S$7 each here before heading down.
