It’s that time of year again – we can finally embark on a ‘getaway’ to Christmas Wonderland 2022, a whimsical carnival that’ll transport you to another world. You’ll feel like you’re in the North Pole with Santa and his reindeer, or on a magical carousel ride!
Taking place from 2 December 2022 to 1 January 2023 at Gardens by the Bay, the carnival returns with even more dazzle and exciting activities to excite the entire family. For just S$8 from 2 to 15 December and S$10 from 16 December 2022 to 1 January 2023, you’ll get to experience all the excitement that Christmas Wonderland has to offer.
The carnival is split into six themed zones – St Nick’s Square, Merry Lane, Elfresco, Gingerbread Grove, Mistletoe Alley, and Games Village. The main hub of activity is in St Nick’s Square, but the other zones contain plenty of festive fun.
Attractions
With plenty to see and do at the carnival, here are some attractions you can’t miss!
Double-storey carousel
For the ultimate Christmas magic, take a whimsical ride on Christmas Wonderland’s Venetian Horse Carousel, where you can imagine you’re in a Christmas movie as you ride the sparkling carousel.
Santa Claus meet-and-greet
Santa Claus has landed in the Christmas Wonderland to spread some festive cheer, so don’t miss your chance to meet him. You’ll feel the holiday cheer as Santa and his reindeer come to town with plenty of fun!
Experience festive snowfall
While it never snows in sunny Singapore, you can experience what it’s ‘like’ to walk in a winter wonderland. In Merry Lane, you’ll be transported to the North Pole, with an illuminated igloo, adorable polar bears, and snow all around you.
Food
Feeling peckish after enjoying the many attractions? Grab a bite and enjoy the fairground atmosphere.
There’s no shortage of food here, with vendors like Museum of Ice Cream, Sourbombe, Brewerkz, and more dining options amidst an alfresco seating area. The food ‘huts’ are split between two areas, with Elfresco serving up main courses, and St Nick’s Square dishing out decadent desserts.

Light displays
With various Christmas-themed light displays scattered throughout the fairground, there’s a surprise at every turn. From a ‘Santa train’ to a gingerbread house, these interactive light displays will brighten up your feed.
Spalliera
You can’t miss the Spalliera, one of the centrepieces of the attraction in the middle of St Nick’s Square. A large, shimmering castle sure to delight, the 21-metre installation is made up of more than 100,000 lightbulbs, so it can be seen even from afar!
Walk of Lights
Take a stroll through a tunnel of lights as they change colours and patterns in a 50-metre tunnel. The lights and colours are sure to enchant your senses, with festive music playing in the background!
Garden Rhapsody Light & Sound Show
To top it all off, there’s even a festive light show as the icing on the cake. Watch as magical Supertree lights dance to festive tunes in the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, happening every evening at 7.45pm, 8.45pm, and 9.45pm.
