Hop on Clarke Quay’s Night Shuttle and maximise your nightlife with the ultimate bar crawl, through spots like Drip Singapore, Dashi Go-Go, Hard Rock Cafe, and more

by Jae-Eryana Fitri

The Clarke Quay (CQ) Night Shuttle has us, retired party animals, buzzing to relive our nightlife days.

Instead of sticking to just Clarke Quay, why not plan one bar at every stop along the route? Here’s our full guide to bars and clubs at each Night Shuttle stop to help you make the most of your TGIFs and weekends

1. Somerset MRT Exit A

The Night Shuttle runs from 11pm to 3am with buses arriving hourly. Based on the route, we’ll suggest kicking off your bar crawl at Somerset MRT Exit A

First stop of the bar crawl is No. 5 Emerald Hill, a popular hotspot for office workers unwinding after a long week. Spread across two storeys, the bar blends Western and Asian interior decor with plenty of picture-worthy spots.

Right now, they are running a 1-for-1 martini special available from 9pm to 1am, making it the perfect excuse for you to chug twice as many martinis. Some of their signature must-try martinis are No. 5 Cocktail, a mix of  Grey Goose vodka, Bacardi rum, apricot, crème de cassis, fresh fruit juices and more.

2. ION Orchard

While most of ION Orchard winds down by 9.30pm, Hard Rock Cafe stays lively into the night.

On regular days, Hard Rock Cafe closes by 11pm, but during special events, it can go all the way till 3am. Collectives such as EMONIGHTSG, Culture SG, WhoHurtYou, UnfilteredPresents, BabyboyPartysg, and more host their monthly themed nights here.

Numerous events are happening this coming week. However, to make full use of the Night Shuttle service, we recommend an upcoming event happening on Friday, 26 December 2025. Organised by MUSKETEERS Singapore, you’ll get to enjoy India’s Got Talent (IGT) finalist Nizami Brothers, performing from 10pm to 3am. More ticket details can be found on their social pages.

3. Ascott Orchard

Once you’ve danced your heart out at Hard Rock Cafe, zoom over to the Ascott Orchard pit stop. Unfortunately, bars like Atelier Lounge & Bar and Hari’s Lobby Lounge & Bar close by 11pm. The only bar that stays open until 3am is Thirstyy, located about a 10-minute walk away.

Thirstyy is a karaoke bar that opens from 8pm to 3am, Monday to Saturday. It’s the perfect place to unwind, grab some beers, and sing out of tune to your favourite songs.

4. Plaza Singapura

Next on the list is Plaza Singapura. Similar to ION Orchard, we won’t recommend bars within malls simply because most won’t be operating between 11pm to 3am. Instead, take a nightly stroll to Prinsep Street and check out our go-to bar—SMÖÖbar.

While there aren’t any ongoing promotions on weekend nights—other than their Happy Hour, which runs till 7pm—they do offer a nice variety of drinks—cocktails, shots, beer, towers, and even the iconic Yakult Soju Tower (S$68)

Feeling peckish after your previous bar visits? SMÖÖbar has a bar bites platter called SMÖÖplatter (S$18) featuring crispy popcorn chicken, juicy four-piece wings, savoury fish skin and crunchy curly fries. The platter alone is definitely filling enough to satisfy, without making you feel bloated

Alternatively, if you’re already feeling buzzed and ready to hit the dancefloor, head down to Drip Singapore. It’s a 5-minute walk away from Plaza Singapura, perfect for continuing the night. Just take note of the time if you’re planning to catch the Night Shuttle before 3am!

5. Raffles City

If you’re still sober at this point, then make sure to hop back on the bus and head to Raffles City. Unlike ION Orchard and Ascott Orchard, this area is crawling with bars and clubs to suit every vibe.

For bars open till 3am, check out Skinny’s Lounge. While there aren’t any promotions, their cocktails will make heads turn—especially the Boat Quay Zombie (S$20), a tropical cocktail with a rum alcohol base, and apricot, orgeat, pineapple and orange.

If you’re looking to get completely wasted, get a couple of Boilermakers & Boilerbacks (S$18)—The former refers to a beer and whisky shot, while the latter includes shots with a chaser.

When it comes to clubbing, you’ll be spoilt for choice with spots like Dashi Go-Go, Rasa Space, Club Modular, and Headquarters. These venues host international and underground DJs such as RIRIA or Tye Turner, so it’s best to check their social media pages for more information on any upcoming gigs.

6. Clarke Quay @ Tan Tye Place

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the last stop on the Night Shuttle route, which is Clarke Quay along Tan Tye Place. With numerous bars and clubs in the area, it’s difficult for us to narrow it down to just one recommendation.

If you’re nearing your limit and just want a few more sips, then make a quick trip to Chupitos for their shot specialities. If you and your friends want to have some fun over games and drinks, visit Level Up bar.

For our party animals who want to end the night on a blast, head on down to Zouk Singapore, YANG Club Singapore, Club Bagawan, or even Phuture. Among the four clubs we’ve listed, YANG Club Singapore is the most budget-friendly for tertiary students, while those aged 23 to 25 and above may prefer Phuture instead.
