The announcement of Tomorrowland Thailand took the world by storm, and now plans for a Disneyland theme park in Thailand are underway, too. This isn’t just a pop-up or an official store; it’s the actual Disney theme park globally adored by everyone.

Disneyland has already been established in Asia, with parks in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Shanghai. However, having one in Thailand would be a game-changer for many Singaporeans, since we would no longer need to endure the long-haul flights.

The adoring theme park will be built along the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), which includes provinces like Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao, taking up to 1,500 acres of land and is conveniently located near the capital city of Bangkok

To make it easily accessible, there are also plans to introduce a high-speed railway project that will allow tourists to travel to Disneyland without fuss. However, the exact address, location or tentative opening date has yet to be announced.

Besides being the first-ever Disneyland in Southeast Asia, the park will also have its own unique characteristics, such as not having a casino due to local gambling laws. As of now, discussions between the Thai government and The Walt Disney Company have yet to be finalised. We’ll be sure to keep you updated once more information is revealed.
