Previously making waves in Singapore for its cave concept, Korean restaurant DRIM has just launched their premium outlet, DRIM GOLD, at WEAVE in Resorts World Sentosa, and here’s what we loved!
Hidden in the WEAVE basement, you won’t miss DRIM GOLD due to its distinct cave exterior and greenery.

Living out their cave concept to the fullest, you’ll find yourself walking through a short tunnel into the restaurant. Be greeted by warm lights, traditional Korean architecture, and friendly staff to guide you through the experience.

Upon placing your order, a wide array of side dishes will be served, comprising bites of traditional kimchi and pickled radish, alongside more unique dishes like tofu watersnail and pickled wild garlic leaves. The best part of these sides—it’s all refillable!

Starting with the appetisers, DRIM GOLD’s Scampi with Kimchi (S$77) comes in the form of sashimi-style scampi, paired with Kimchi XO sauce. On its own, the scampi is already fresh and flavourful enough, but you have to try it with the Kimchi XO sauce. Pairing sweet scampi with salty kimchi together, not ordering this would be missing out.

Moving on to the grilled meats, DRIM GOLD offers a range of beef and pork cuts, from Wagyu Oyster Blade to Black Pork Belly. Restaurant staff will also help you prepare and grill your meats to your preferred doneness, so just sit back and relax.
We opted for medium-rare Hanwoo (S$102 per 100g), and its beef truly delivered. Well-marbled and tender, this beef cut was the first to be finished. We also tried DRIM GOLD’s signature, DRIM Prime Cut (S$42 per 100g), made of iberico rib finger. When ordering the DRIM Prime Cut, it can toughen when you let it get cold, so we would recommend eating it right when served.

As for signature Korean classics, the Makguksu (S$32), also labelled as the DRIM Signature Noodle, uses perilla leaf oil as its main sauce. The noodles can taste a little bland on their own, but we would compare them to the same blandness in naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles). Which is why Koreans also typically eat this dish with kimchi in one bite. Adding adequate flavour and saltiness, those who are fans of strong flavours can still enjoy the DRIM Signature noodle with this little addition.

For something a little more wholesome, the Korean Beef and Vegetable Hotpot (S$138) reminds us of the ABC soup our parents used to cook in a crockpot. Its base soup, in particular, is actually galbi tang (beef soup) simmered over 24 hours, resulting in its clear broth. Thanks to the hotpot’s vegetables like white fungus, chives, and minari, you can expect a textured bite. Surprisingly, we didn’t feel the urge to eat this with rice, so if you are ordering other carb mains, those will be enough to fill you up next to the hotpot.

Drinks like DRIM GOLD’s Korean Tea for Sharing (from S$8) or Earl Grey Highball (S$20) are also available to wash down these delicacies.

Ending off the meal, this cave restaurant made us feel at home, offering hearty mains and a good time with their friendly staff. Although we are aware that the WEAVE is full of other food gems like Sundae Royale or the Coach Coffee Shop, DRIM GOLD offers something hard to find even across Singapore—surely that gives it reason enough to make it a pitstop when visiting Sentosa!
