In Japanese, tanjoubi omedetou means happy birthday, and today, Genki Sushi is celebrating its sixth birthday with its members! If you’ve been a loyal Genki Sushi fan since day one, you would be familiar with how much Genki Sushi loves to spoil its members with irresistible perks and rewards.

For those who aren’t members yet—don’t worry, we’ve got exciting surprises coming your way that will definitely convince you to sign up for that membership right now.

Sushi

When it comes to sushi, the factors that determine high-quality sushi are the tenderness, freshness, and thickness of the cut — the holy trinity of great sushi.

And at Genki Sushi, that’s never been a problem. This time, they’re elevating the entire experience with an exclusive lineup of sushi selections to commemorate their special sixth anniversary, a treat that’s as premium as it is delicious.

Check out the Dai Man Zoku series, the Three Flavours series and more that will be available islandwide. Our favourites were the Authentic Trio (S$7.90), Thick-Cut Salmon with Spicy Mayo (S$2.30), and the Akaebi Garlic Butter Dai Man Zoku (S$2.80)

Since I’m not the biggest fan of raw sushi, my colleague wasted no time diving into the Authentic Trio, which consists of tuna, scallop, and shrimp, each sushi completed with Spanish caviar topping. The moment she took a bite, the meat’s intense umami flavour and freshness completely swept her away; it was as if the seafood had just been caught from the ocean moments ago.

I’m usually cautious around anything with a strong fishy taste, so with some hesitation, I decided to try the Thick-Cut Salmon with Spicy Mayo. Even though it was lightly toasted and coated in spicy mayo and soya sauce, the rawness of the salmon still shone through bold and fresh.

What blew my mind wasn’t the rawness; it was the incredibly soft and tender texture of the salmon, which practically melted in my mouth, leaving a pleasant and smooth finish to my palate.

Lastly, the Akaebi Garlic Butter Dai Man Zoku immediately caught my attention the moment it glided down the conveyor belt. The thick, juicy shrimp, seasoned in butter and garlic, rested enticingly on a bed of fluffy Japanese rice.

The moment I took a bite, I was hit by the butter’s incredible sweetness, perfectly balanced by the strong garlic flavour. The combo was so addictive that one piece just wasn’t enough!

Plush Bags

The second surprise that Genki Sushi has in store for everyone is their exclusive Blind Box Plush Bag series.

Four different versions of the plush bag are up for grabs: Tana-chan, Ikura-chan, Ebi-kun, and Mentai-san. The coolest feature of these bags is that each bag has a velcro top that you can swap around with your friends. They are so adorable and handy; I was tempted to take them all home.

To snag them for yourself, simply spend S$60 on a single receipt, or try your luck at the islandwide Fun Claw machine. Heads up: Ikura-chan is exclusive and will only be available to premium members.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Ebi-kun as a new member of Confirm Good, and let me tell you — he is the most adorable team member ever! Head down to Genki Sushi from now until 12 November 2025 for a sushi experience you will never forget.
