KFC is painting the town red with their newest Sichuan Mala Chicken!

Known for its previous chicken coatings like the Samyang Buldak and Goldspice (Salted Egg), alongside the latest Oiishii Takoyaki-inspired bites—KFC brings something new to the table this Chinese New Year

From 14 January 2026 to 25 February 2026, KFC will feature its first-ever La Zi Ji 辣子鸡 (Sichuan Mala Chicken), you can now expect fiery and fragrant flavours of mala in your chicken bucket. Doused with red dried chilli, chilli oil and numbing peppercorns, this trio of spices will definitely unleash the ultimate mala buzz on your tongue! These flavours can also be found outside of their bucket, and in their newest La Zi Ji Bites. Enjoy these bite-sized fritters, tossed in chilli oil, peppercorns and spices, and share the spice with friends and family all around. 

Going all out on the fiery concept of La Zi Ji, KFC has also launched their first-ever Mala Lotus Root Chips to complement your mains with. 

Bucket of Abundance

Ringing in prosperity with the La Zi Ji Crunch Bucket (S$20.80), the bucket comes in a special sleeve design of a traditional Chinese bucket brimming with gold coins, symbolising prosperity and well wishes for the coming year. For cosy group parties, the La Zi Ji Crunch Feast (S$39.80) works best for sharing among up to four people. To those who are weak to spice, you can try opting for the KFC HUAT Feast (S$38.80) instead. If you’re looking to share a light meal with a partner instead, the La Zi Ji Crunch Buddy Meal (S$29.80) is our top pick for a spicy date night!

Each figurine is designed to come with a connecting base, while each model carries a unique blessing to prosper different areas of your home or space. Available from 14 January 2026, the Huat Paws are priced at $8.80 each with any dine-in or takeaway purchase over the counter or self-ordering kiosk.

Just like any blind box collection, KFC’s Fortune Cat Blind Boxes also feature a secret design, and prize. Those who unveil the Secret Gold Fortune Cat can stand a chance to win $888 by posting it on their socials, and tagging KFC Singapore using the hashtag #KFCHuatPaws. From there, 10 lucky winners will be announced to win $888 on 6 March 2026.
