The photo booth trend has been on the rise in Singapore, with different themed photo booths popping up around the town. Think: Taylor Swift-themed and IKEA photobooths. Joining the slew of self photo studios in Singapore is Look Here Photo Studio with a brand new shop space, four booths and over 20 Y2K frame designs to choose from.
Conveniently located in CityLink Mall, Look Here Photo Studio, which was previously a pop-up, now offers four booths — two regular photobooths and two wide angle booths (also known as the Gen Z selfie). They’ve also got some very cute and quirky frame designs, an adjustable photo machine, adjustable filters, and so much more.
From plain coloured frames to cute cloud designs, the choices are endless. My favourite frame was definitely the quirky old-school windows wallpaper design —- major throwback to the 2000s indeed. Feel free to make your pics more fun and vibey with the cute props available.
Unlike your regular photobooths, the photo machines here are height adjustable — yay! This means that even our short kings and queens, and skyscraper humans, can enjoy picture perfect studio lighting without having to get to uncomfortable positions just to find the best lighting. You can also choose your desired filter and adjust the intensity to your liking.
Unfortunately the wide angle photos are not offered in the normal photobooth, but we’re not complaining. You still have lots of fun in the regular booths. At the normal photobooths, you get to choose from two cuts to as many as eight cuts.
Once you’re satisfied, you can go ahead and customise your photo strips by adding cute stickers, just like the good ol’ days when Neo Prints were a thing. What’s also great is with the same set of photos, you can choose to have it printed on multiple different frames — something you won’t get at most photo studios.
Look Here Photo Studio also has two wide angle photobooths. If you haven’t already tried taking 0.5x selfies, what are you waiting for? I don’t get most of the Gen Z trends, but this is one of the few that really makes sense.
At the wide angle booth, you’ll also get to choose the number of cuts and frame designs. The space is much smaller, though, so maybe you might wanna do this one alone, or with one other friend.
Price-wise, each print costs just S$10 each, with an additional S$2 for any extra print you wanna print. If you love taking pics (of yourself) or with friends, you’ll definitely have a ton of fun here.
Pro tip: make sure to do some research and plan out your poses before going into the booth to avoid any chaos inside — but hey, the chaos might just be part of the fun photobooth experience. Don’t worry, you still get three chances to retake your pics.
