Museum of Hidden Objects and Feelings has a unique exhibition that delves into the complex world of social connections and loneliness

Museum of Hidden Objects and Feelings (MOHO) is a captivating one-of-a-kind exhibition at SCAPE* that delves into the complex world of social connections and loneliness.

In this time and age, where digital connections are more treasured over real-life connections, the MOHO provides a platform to spark important conversations about forging real-life connections and about our mental health.

MOHO is launched by Singapore-based organisation Half, and offers a safe and engaging space for visitors to explore their innermost feelings through eight interactive booths.

At MOHO, you can expect to find deeply touching stories at Oneliness, tangible exhibits at Cabinet of Emotions, and ForWords, where you can write letters to your cherished ones, and future self.

You will receive a MOHO Passport to collect stamps at each station to redeem a free drink after you’ve finished all the activities.

On your visit, you will encounter a mirror which will prompt you to think about what loneliness means to you, and encourage you to look deep within yourself for an answer. A blank, open canvas hangs next to the mirror for you to express your answer in whichever form you’d prefer, be it in words or drawings.

You can also pause before or after you pen down your answer to read what other visitors have left behind to be reminded that you’re not alone in this journey of discovering yourself.

Another booth you will pass through is a collection of 12 display cases, each recounting a personal story through objects donated by 12 individuals from all walks of life. Some items include a sketchbook, a landline phone, and a portable music player with headphones that hold the last voice message of one of Half’s co-founders’ late brother. Each of these items speak about grief in their own ways.

If you can’t find a space to voice out your profound and deepest emotions, The Confession Booth is a private spot where you can take the time to be in tune with that.

Before you exit the museum, you will come across a cabinet of 12 letterboxes, each representing a month in 2026. Write a letter to your future self, or your loved ones. The letters will be mailed to you in your chosen month.
