Fans anticipating the newest One Piece Film: Red, will be glad to know that Cathay Cineplexes is holding a special fan screening with limited-edition goodies on 24 September at West Mall.
Fan screenings to One Piece Film: Red, released in celebration of the series’ 1000th episode has been selling out like hotcakes so if you’re a fan and would love to catch the movie asap. We highly recommend booking your tickets as soon as possible!
With limited seats to two time slots left, book your S$40 tickets to the screening and enjoy limited-edition goodies including an A2 size movie poster of both variations of the film’s promotional poster, a One Piece T-shirt (ahhh!), Sunny, Uta, and Shanks can badges, and a character card set (gacha style). Do note that the merchandise redemption booth opens 1 hour before the screening and closes 15 mins after the screening.
The film will follow world famous diva Uta as she holds her debut concert, but is secretly the daughter of Shanks and the childhood friend of Luffy – both famous One Piece characters that fans will recognise from the series and the games. The Straw Hats, pirates, Marines and fans from across the world gather to enjoy Uta’s voice, which has been described as “otherworldly”, but complications soon arise.
The original voice actors of Luffy (Mayumi Tanaka), and Shanks (Shūichi Ikeda) will also reprise their roles from the series and the film will be in Japanese, but with English subtitles. And as these are fan screenings, you can expect there to be One Piece cosplayers (as with any fan event), or perhaps even decide to join in on the cosplay too!
