Awarded one of the top 10 best bars globally, Jigger and Pony is eager to explore new concepts. Pop City is their latest cocktail bar addition, which opened earlier this month. Inspired by Japanese lifestyle bars, the team has embraced the modern yet cultural flavours known to Japan.
Decked out with leather chairs, wooden furnishings, and marbled tables, the interior tells a story of finesse and comfort. Take a seat by the bar or sink into the sofas, and soak in the active listening party unfolding around you. If a familiar song comes on at the Bar Mixtape section, who’s stopping you from joining in and making new friends?
Beyond its interior and engaging activities, the real highlight is its cocktail selections. For starters, the Sakura Bamboo (S$24) consists of Roku Sakura Gin, Haku vodka, sake, earthy bamboo leaf, and more. Its pink hues may seem innocent, but you’ll be surprised by the balance of sweetness, floral notes, and the seamless mix of vodka and gin.
For our Hojicha fans, the Hojicha Espresso Martini (S$25) is a must-try. Crafted with Haku vodka, Mr Black Coffee Liqueur and Hojicha, this power-packed cocktail is perfect for reviving overtime office workers after sleepless nights.
Perhaps you prefer something stronger and darker? Try the Rugged Roy (S$28) made with Bowmore Malt Scotch Whisky, Drambuie, toasted sesame, and more, delivering a masculine, husky finish that lingers on your palate.
If you’re adventurous, dive straight into their seasonal drinks like the Fuji Apple & Oyster Leaf Fizz (S$26) or Shiitake Mushroom Negroni (S$26). These cocktails are available for a limited time only, so be sure to visit soon!
For designated drivers, there is a selection of S$18 mocktails you can choose from, including the Cucumber Tokyo Sour or Kyoho Alexander.
Amidst Christmas shopping and New Year’s plans, we understand that these cocktail prices might feel steep, so here’s an insider tip—visit from 5.30pm to 8pm any day of the week to enjoy their S$15 Happy Hour specials.
What’s a cocktail bar without light bites? They also serve Uni & Corn Croquette with Sea Urchin Butter Sauce (S$20), Super Vegan French Fries with Mushroom Cream Dip (S$15), and more.
