This time, they’re pulling out all the stops for cat lovers, owners, and enthusiasts, in the form of a cat-themed night market, cleverly named Purrsa Malam, that’ll be held at Wisma Geylang Serai on 17 and 18 August.

The market will showcase 50 curated brands and stalls selling everything your feline friend could ever meow ask for, ranging from cat-themed merchandise and interactive toys to gourmet cat food and wellness products.

For instance, pawrents can look forward to vendors like OHMYPAWS.CO, selling bespoke pet accessories, like safety collars, bandanas, and bow ties, as well as Arky Neko, known for their popular catnip string toys and bucket hats.

Don’t fur-get to keep an eye out for free exclusive goodie bags filled with specially curated goodies that will be given out on both days. There will also be free microchipping services (that you can register your interest for), as well as the opportunity to learn more about cat welfare from Love Kuching Project, a volunteer-run cat rescue group.

Hungry hoomans need not worry, as F&B vendors like The Fryes Guys, Kueh and Rolls, and Tanamera Coffee, will be serving up street eats to keep you going throughout the evening.

And of course, the question on everyone’s minds: are pets allowed?

Well, yes, cats are welcome at the market, as long as they are well-behaved and with their owner at all times, which includes being leashed, carried, or in a pet carrier. Dogs, however, are not allowed.

Now there’s no need to put your thinking cat on when it comes to weekend plans — a purr-fect evening of shopping, snacking, and strolling awaits at Purrsa Malam!
