How many cat cafes is considered too many? The correct answer to that question is, there can never be too many!
There’s a new cat cafe in the east that makes for the purr-fect hideout for you to unwind from the crazy work week and soak in some absolutely pawsitive vibes. Get ready to cosy up with adorable Ragdolls, Munchkins and more at SGCatHouse!
Located in Paya Lebar, SGCatHouse is one of the newest additions to the cat cafe scene in Singapore with over nine different breeds of cats just chilling all around the cat interaction space.
You can expect to find some chonky American and British Shorthairs, Russian Blues, Ragdolls, and Munchkins eagerly waiting for pets and cuddles. I personally can’t wait to cuddle with a Munchkin or even a ragdoll! There are also toys for you to play with the kitties, or to attract their attention.
Don’t worry about the shorthair cats and their grumpy (but simply irresistibly cute) expressions — they actually really want to be cuddled.
Another way to get their attention is to wave some treats — because if there’s anything I’ve learnt from my two cats at home, it’s that they love treats. Simply purchase cat feed (S$1) from the counter and watch as the kitties come running to you (you’ll feel like the most popular person in the cafe).
Rates for the cat cafe start from just S$9 per hour and S$15 for two hours. If that’s not enough for you (which I think it won’t be), they’ve also got full day passes going for just S$28 so you can get really cosy with your feline friends.
And if one whole day with these furry felines aren’t enough, they even have packaged deals going from S$65 for 10 one-hour visits, valid for six months — who needs real therapy when you can have cat therapy with these cuties!
Each entry to the cafe will also entitle you to a free drink of your choice — which you can choose from their extensive menu.
Apart from being a cat cafe, SGCatHouse also doubles as a cat hotel, a pet shop, and offers grooming services. You can bring your own furkids down to get a new hairdo, shop for some cool accessories or have a little staycay while you’re overseas.
Prices for their pet grooming services are kept very affordable too, starting from just S$35. Despite being a cat cafe, doggos are welcomed to get groomed here too with prices starting from S$30, depending on their weight. There’s also ear cleaning and nail clipping services for an additional S$10 per service.
SGCatHouse is just a short bus ride away from Aljunied MRT Station, so easties, you have no reason not to visit them. Even if you’re not an eastie, getting some cuddles from these furry little ones will make the long trip worth it!
No weekend plans yet? Time to make plans to head down to this cat cafe!
