Mr Beast kicked off the influencer snack wave in early 2022 with the launch of his Feastables chocolate bars. Since then, more creators have jumped on the trend by putting their names behind sweet confections.
In Singapore, this has taken shape as SGFR Store—a candy shop dedicated to international sweets, fronted by familiar local influencers.

Although SGFR Store has several outlets, we went straight to their newly opened flagship store for the full experience. Located in Bedok Mall, it’s a win for East-siders and perfect for a quick snack run. You can spot the store instantly, thanks to its brightly lit signboard.
Inside, the space keeps things minimal with white walls and black marble accents, a deliberate choice that lets the colourful candy displays steal the spotlight. The result feels almost like a candy playground, packed with snacks from around the world.
You’ll find international favourites like Sour Patch Kids (S$6.50), Skibidi Popcorn (S$5.50), and Takis (S$5). Prices feel reasonable compared to buying directly from the brands online, since you skip shipping fees and get instant gratification.

At the top of our list, we got our hands on the most viral snacks on the racks—Mix Pops and Mochi Meltz, each priced at S$12.90. For those unfamiliar, Mix Pops are bite-sized, fruit-shaped ice cream treats resembling mango, strawberry, grape and lychee. Each box contains about six to seven pieces, ideal for sharing with friends.
When we first opened a tub of Mix Pops, we were sceptical—it felt gimmicky, relying on its colours and shapes for its hype. After one bite, we were completely convinced of why it lived up to its hype—the hard, chewy exterior paired with the fruity, cooling softness inside was surprisingly delightful and addictive. It tasted so good, we were debating whether to clear the racks and get some for our family and friends, too!
If you plan to try it, enjoy them straight from the freezer while they’re fully frozen. Once it starts to melt, the pops lose their firm exterior and can feel mushy, making the entire experience underwhelming.
Pro tip: Buy them ahead of time and place them in the freezer before indulging.

Next, we dug into the Mochi Meltz, which we had higher expectations for thanks to its adorably themed packaging. Each box consists of six pieces of mochi, available in varying flavours such as chocolate, strawberry, and lychee. Prefer a single flavour instead? They also offer full Matcha or Mango packs at the same price.
We tried the strawberry mochi first, and were swooned by the texture—the soft, stretchy mochi exterior paired with a rich, creamy ice cream centre makes it an excellent snack for hot, humid days. While not as mind-blowing as the Mix Pops, Mochi Meltz is perfect for fans of soft, sweet, cooling treats. Overall, Mix Pops lived up to the hype, while Mochi Meltz fell a little short.

Not a fan of frozen treats? Visit any SGFR Store daily from 11am to 9pm and browse through a wide selection of dry snacks, chocolate bars, candies, and more.
Feeling whimsical? Try popular international snacks featuring local influencers, like Mango Bossku’s Gummies (S$5.50) or Ilhan Fandi’s Goal Crunch (S$8.50). Either way, this is a candy playground that you must visit.
