Art fairs have been gaining popularity lately, especially with the influx of events like Public Garden and the Hobbies’ Fair. While Public Garden’s second run was recently completed in mid-September 2025, there will be a third installation in December 2025

For those who were unable to attend Public Garden or any of the art fairs that were held this year, including Hobbies Fair, Autumn Fest, Resurrack, and more, we have discovered a store that perfectly captures the spirit of art fairs and is open year-round.

Nestled close to Bugis Street and conveniently located within Golden Landmark Shopping Complex, this charming office-themed store features trinkets and a large signboard that reads “CATALOG.” The store appears modest, as if it were preserved in time like any other vintage stationery store from the 1990s.

The store has redesigned and expanded its pop-up beyond the display glass, lining up racks of tote bags, phone straps, and décor, making it impossible to miss. Upon closer inspection, you will notice that these items share the same look and feel, consisting of vibrant colours, light recyclable materials, and practical items for daily use.

These iconic items may be familiar to you if you visited Public Garden in September 2025 because they were made by Smitten by Pattern (SBP), an Indonesian artist based in Jakarta. The artist is also one of the long-standing Public Garden vendors.

For the uninitiated, SBP is a brand that appeals to young mothers and children, particularly because their products highlight the fun in functional design.

Instead of waiting for the next Public Garden fair, stop by CATALOG during their joint pop-up with SBP, starting from 7 October 2025

At the pop-up you can find popular items such as the Passport Pocket (S$30), Teeny Treasurer (S$30), Picnic Mat (S$40), Drawstring Tote Bag (S$37), and more.

Each product comes in different colour schemes and unique patterns, which makes it difficult to choose one to bring home, as they are all quirky, vibrant and pretty in their own ways.

If you are more of a sticker collector, we recommend grabbing their Sticker Sheet, priced at S$5 and S$10 respectively. You can use the stickers to decorate your devices, water bottles or simply gift them to your friends and colleagues as well.

As an alternative, the Snap Strap (S$30) lets you sling your phone across your body, turning it into a handy tech purse for on-the-go use.

Our personal favourites among all the products are the Teeny Treasurer and Passport Pocket, ideal for storing cash, makeup, and coins while travelling

In case the items from Smitten by Pattern might not be your cup of tea, you can browse the works of other artists, including Singaporean artists Sara Street, Afelise, Publicsage, and others, within CATALOG itself.
