Everyone’s been really big on sustainability in recent years — especially when it comes to fashion. Many fast fashion brands are facing consequences online due to their unethical practices, and green practices are quickly on the rise — like thrifting and swapping clothes.
On 13 August (Saturday), participate in Swapaholic’s Marketplace Launch Party which aims to bring the sustainability movement forward in the fashion world.
Here, you’ll be able to swap styles with other like-minded fashionistas as well as shop for a myriad of curated pre-loved goodies.
Other than that, the Marketplace Launch Party will also have games that educate people on the importance of conscious fashion from 5pm onwards. At 5.30pm, you’ll be able to start bidding for some of the most chic pre-loved items during the pre-loved auction (with prices starting at only S$10!).
On top of that, you can also get inspired by the green initiatives started by some of the passionate speakers at the event before a free and easy mingling session where you’ll be able to share and connect with the other people there (it’s quite literally a thrift party!).
Of course, what’s a party without a fun theme, delicious bites and refreshing drinks? The theme of Swapaholic’s Marketplace Launch Party is Wake Up and Swap, so you’re encouraged to dress in your cutest slumber party outfits (PJs and sleepwear!). Food and beverages will also be available on site!
