We’ve found another hidden gem café in Central Singapore called The Breu, and you can use your CDC vouchers here!

When we think of supermarkets like Fairprice or Cold Storage, groceries, kitchenware, and the occasional fancy sushi come to mind. However, did you know that one Cold Storage outlet is now offering something even fancier? Located in Great World’s CS Fresh, a pop-up artisanal café named The Breu awaits.

A pop-up café which first appeared in Orchard Road, The Breu prides itself on their in-house aromatic tea foams and fruity tea blends.

Featuring a pretty well-rounded menu, this brewery offers cold brews surrounding Japanese teas like matcha and hojicha, various coffee brews topped with fruity foam, and fruit tea like jasmine flower tea

For fans of eccentric combinations like strawberry matcha, honey matcha, and more, we recommend trying the Pistachio Matcha on Oat (S$7.80). Essentially an earthy oat milk matcha latte, this drink becomes a popular menu item thanks to its rich pistachio cream foam topping.

If you prefer more subtle flavours, The Breu’s Jasmine Matcha Cloud (S$7.80) fuses subtle hints of jasmine flowers with a stronger-tasting matcha foam. By pairing flowery tea with fluffy cold foam, it’s no wonder this combination is a bestseller!

Riding on the cold foam train, The Breu has also invented its own foam flavour to complete its Hojicha Maple Cloud (S$7) drink—velvety maple cream foam layered on top of roasted hojicha, finished with a sprinkle of pink Himalayan salt

Another highlight of this pop-up café’s menu, its Mont Blanc series (from S$7) comprises orange-infused coffee cold brew with citrus cream foam topped with orange zest and nutmeg

You can also choose between the store’s two bean types, Bali and Colombian, to match your coffee taste preference. The Bali beans evoke a more spiced taste with cocoa and roasted nuts, while the Colombian beans offer a heavier flavour of dark chocolate, oak, and caramel

The best part of it all, you can use your supermarket CDC vouchers to offset the prices of these artisanal beverages! Do note that the usage of CDC vouchers only applies to The Breu’s Great World CS Fresh outlet. However, its counterpart pop-up can also be found inside the izakaya, Gyusan, at Forum Shopping Mall, along Orchard Road

Treat yourself to these aromatic and photogenic drinks while they still last, and remember to add this hidden gem to your list of cafés to spend your CDC vouchers on this year!
