Attention all cat lovers, I come bearing good news! That’s right, there’s yet another cat cafe and this time its located in the west — finally the cats are giving us westies some love! Get ready for cuteness overload at The Caffeine Experience. At this point, I’m pretty much a walking directory for all the cat cafes in Singapore.
The Caffeine Experience is conveniently located at The Star Vista in Buona Vista and is home to over 17 adorable and fluffy kitties. You might mistake them for a Ragdoll or a Norwegian Forest Cat, but these furry felines are actually Maine Coons. And if there’s one thing you must know about this breed of cats, it’s their insanely furry coat — I mean just look at it!
Maine Coons are also known to grow to be pretty large in size. But don’t worry, these gentle giants are extremely affectionate creatures that will work their charm to make you fall in love with them instantly — I know I did (sorry to my two cats who might be reading this). If anything, their large build makes them even more cuddly and you’ll have a hard time letting them go.
You must be wondering, ‘how can I get my hands on them?’ Well, for just S$6.90 you’ll be able to cuddle with these chonky kitties for 20 minutes and S$17 for an hour — it’s not the cheapest but trust me, it really is money well spent.
The cats love a good chin rub so make sure to give them some rubs if you wanna have them sticking to you. While you’re at it, you can also give them some belly rubs — you’ll be tempted to once you see their furry bellies. Don’t forget to snap plenty of pics while you’re at it.
Apart from cuddling the kitties, The Caffeine Experience also serves hearty brunch sets alongside fragrant brews to help you refuel after playing with the cats. The Mocha Coco (S$7.50) comes highly recommended, but they do have other drinks like Single Origin beans (S$6), White Coffee (S$5.50), and Black Coffee (S$4.50).
(Human) Food-wise, you definitely have to give their Big Breakfast (S$15.40) a go. It comes with sausages, sunny side-up eggs, turkey bacon, tater tots, roasted tomatoes, and brioche thick toasts — purr-fect for refuelling after working up a sweat playing with the kitties. Other mouth-watering dishes include Shakshouka Chorizo (S$13.70), Bangers & Mash (S$13.60), Truffle Beef Burger (S$14.30) and more.
You can’t leave without having desserts. Fans of Keong Saik Bakery will be pleased to know that some of the bakery’s classic desserts and pastries can also be found here. The selection includes the popular Orh Nee Tart (S$9.20), Atap Chee Rose Cheesecake (S$8.50), Burnt Cheese Cruffin (S$6.40), Kouign Amann (S$4.30), and more!
The Caffeine Experience is definitely the place to check out for your next date activity, or if you’re ever in the area and have some time to spare, a little cat therapy definitely wouldn’t hurt.
