If you love the thrill of finding pre-loved treasures, get ready because 2nd STREET, Japan’s biggest secondhand store, is finally making its way to Singapore!
We can only hope that their prices stay as friendly as they are back in Japan because who doesn’t love scoring a designer deal without breaking the bank?
If you’ve ever thrifted in Japan, you’ve probably wandered into a 2nd STREET store at some point. With over 900 stores worldwide (Japan, USA, Thailand, Taiwan….), they’re the absolute go-to for pre-loved luxury and streetwear.
Now, they’re bringing their magic to 313@Somerset’s Basement 1, taking over the space where Pomelo used to be (that Pomelo store held lots of memories for admin).
You can expect to sift through racks of Louis Vuitton, Champion, The North Face, Nike, New Balance, Chanel, Hermes, Loewe, Rolex, Maison Margiela, Comme des Garcons, Supreme, adidas, Levi’s, Ralph Lauren, Moncler, and so much more!
Whether you’re after a vintage gem, a streetwear staple, or a timeless designer piece, this place is bound to be a treasure trove. You can also sell your own pre-loved items and get them appraised on the spot for instant cash.
In Japan, 2nd STREET’s prices start from ¥4,000 (S$35.73) to about ¥10,000 (S$89.32) per item. It’s a little pricey compared to usual thrifting prices but these are secondhand designer brands so it’s pretty justified (this is admin trying to convince herself).
But since this outlet is opening in Orchard territory, we’re crossing our fingers that prices stay just as budget-friendly!
2nd STREET Singapore is set to open by the end of April 2025, and we’re already counting down. Keep an eye on their socials for updates, and in the meantime, get your thrift game ready because this is going to be good.
