Already missing the fun, food, and festivities of the Geylang Serai and Kampong Gelam bazaars? Don’t fret, for a massive bazaar with street food and live performances will be coming your way this May!

Touted as the “biggest halal food festival in Tampines“, Bazaar Lambak will be held at the open field next to Tampines MRT Station from 8 May to 6 June 2023. That’s almost an entire month, so you’ll have plenty of time to visit with your friends and family.

Although the event space is still being set up at the time of writing, you can look forward to a ton of halal food stalls, daily busking and arts performances (like dikir barat), and even celebrity booths.

We’re all very excited about the food, obviously, and Bazaar Lambak has stated that you can look forward to an array of Thai, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean-inspired street eats, amongst many others.

The full list of vendors has yet to be released, but you can expect bazaar favourites like Ramly burgers, vadai, loaded sandwiches, Thai lok lok, and lekor.

If you’re looking for something less traditional, highlights include XXL Sotong King (deep-fried squid on a stick) and Korean spicy wings from Wasuukasaucy; JB-style burgers from DQues Burger; Japanese takoyaki and sushi bake by De’Tak0 By Degenerous; rice dumplings from Sarah’s Dumplings; and sticky lamb ribs from Rusuk.

There’ll also be plenty of dessert options, ranging from honeycomb-topped parfaits from Yum Cha.SG to good ol’ Nyonya kueh.
And of course, everything will be halal.
