For all cat lovers, cat enthusiasts, or anyone in need of some cat-therapy, here are the best 11 cat cafes in Singapore where you can eat, work, play, paint and even sing karaoke with these adorable kittles! Make sure to save these places if you’re looking for something to do over the weekend.

Editor’s Note:

We enjoy animal-related establishments as it gives us the opportunity to interact with our favourite animals – and as animal lovers, we can’t ignore the ethical issues that revolve around this. From animal cafes to pet shops and catteries, there are a wide range of ethical concerns when it comes to animal welfare such as the treatment of the animals, or ethical breeding at pet shops and catteries.

As we share some really great animal cafes, pet shops and catteries to visit, we strongly urge everyone to treat these animals gently, and if you have seen signs that the animals are not being well taken care of, please highlight it to us immediately. If you are considering getting a pet, we would also encourage you to consider adoption options first if possible. There are plenty of lovable animals waiting for a good home at places like SoSD, Cat Welfare Society, and the SPCA!

10. SGCatCafe

Photo: @sgcatcafe/instagram

SGCatCafe has a total of 29 cats, all of whom were rescued. They have two locations in Singapore — one at The Rail Mall and the other in Bugis. What’s the difference? Well, the cats. If you’re looking to interact with a less active bunch, then the Bugis outlet is for you as the cats there are aged between 8 to 15 years old (in cat years of course).

Photo: @sgcatcafe/instagram

The cats at the Rail Mall outlet are aged between 3 to 6 years old and they’re generally more active — well, except during their naptime. Naturally, here is also where you’ll find the cats jumping around a little more than the Bugis outlet, but honestly, even watching cats take a nap is pretty wholesome.

Photo: @sgcatcafe/instagram

Price-wise, it’s S$18 for the first two-hours with a complimentary canned drink, and every subsequent 30 minutes costs S$4.50. If you’re one of those who prefer to work around cats instead of humans (relatable), they even have whole day passes for just S$40 with one free drink of your choice. The passes are only available on weekdays, subject to availability.
