From the looks of it, the coconut craze is here to stay. The long lines at kiosks selling coconut shakes speak for themselves. Adding themselves into the mix is Coconuto, the latest entrant from Yishun into our local dessert scene.
This small neighbourhood cafe opens till 12am on most days and all the way till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. I can foresee it being a popular late-night haunt for supper-goers.
Flavoured coconut shakes
Cool down with Coconuto’s signature Coconut Shake (S$4.20 for M, S$4.90 for L), which comes in crowd-pleasing flavours like Lotus Biscoff (S$4.80 for M, S$5.60 for L), Black Sesame (S$4.80 for M, S$5.60 for L), and Mango (S$5.60 for M, S$6.40 for L). Sugar levels can be tweaked to your personal preference.
You also have the option of adding on toppings like Chendol (S$0.80), Brown Konjac Pearls (S$0.80), and Aiyu Jelly (S$0.80).
Gelato & waffles
A rotating menu of six gelato flavours is available every day. Go for the classic Gula Melaka Coconut (S$3.80 for single, S$7.20 for double), or take it up a notch with premium flavours like the Thai-inspired Mango Sticky Rice (top up S$0.80) and Nuto’s Favourite (top up S$0.80), a creamy coconut gelato with roasted coconut flakes. A regular Waffle (S$4.50) would suffice, but you can get Charcoal or Red Velvet waffles for an additional S$1.
Great. I’m craving an ice cold coconut shake as we speak.
