Missed your chance to check out the massive Pop Toy Show? Don’t worry as there’s a limited-time pop-up at the airport for you to shop for all your favourite FUNKO vinyl figurines. There’ll also be photo spots for you to take pics with your favourite characters, so it’s time to let your inner child squeal in excitement!
Located at the newly renovated Changi Airport Terminal 2, the FUNKO at Changi pop-up is the brand’s first experiential space in Southeast Asia. The FUNKO at Changi pop-up is taking place from now until January 2024, and entry to the space is free.
The first place you have to check out is the massive display of popular FUNKO pop figurines. You can expect to find your favourite superheroes and cartoon characters displayed on the wall, alongside our national icons like the Merlion and the Singapore Girl (AKA SQ Stewardess).
There’ll also be a display of the all-new micro-sized FUNKO Pop collectibles too — trust me, these micro-sized figurines are absolutely adorable, I wish I could bring all of them home.
But of course, where’s the fun in just admiring the figurines in display cases? You can expect cute photo spots around the exhibit for you to snap cute pics and get up close with some of the characters too. My personal favourite is the life-sized Armoured Batman, and he’ll be joined by several other superheroes too — from both DC and Marvel universe of course.
If you’re planning to make a trip down, make sure to snap pics with the ever cheerful and cute life-size version of Dancing Groot — I mean, just look at his innocent eyes. To make your experiences even more immersive, the photo spot is decorated to look like the spacecraft from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Make sure to bring along your wizarding coats and wands as everyone’s favourite wizard, Harry Potter will also be there posing for pictures (well, his figurine will be). There’s even a photo spot with a FUNKO Pop box for you to play pretend and be your own FUNKO figurine.
That’s not all you get to do here. There’s also an activity space for you and your young ones to spend some quality time together.
Looking at all the figurines alone is tempting enough to make you wanna do some shopping. Thankfully (or not), there’s a shopping space filled with FUNKO pop toy figurines for you to bring home and add to your collection.
You can also shop for your favourite Disney merch like backpacks, wallets and more at the Loungefly shopping space.
