The magic of Ginger at PARKROYAL
The restaurant’s decor showcases a gorgeous blend of pastel colours and floral wallpaper, giving it sleek rustic vibes and elegant tropical accents. The ambiance at Ginger @ PARKROYAL almost reminds us of those long-forgotten days we spent lazing away at Bali resorts.
Ordering here is very simple, you scan the QR code, add items to cart and send the order with your table number. It’s that easy.
What Ginger @ PARKROYAL’s menu offers is a diverse mix of traditional Singaporean flavours, with elements from other Asian cuisines and a touch of Western mixed in.
Their ingredients are also all halal, and they are just awaiting halal certification at the moment.
Other than that, you can also find an impressive range of fresh seafood on the menu.
For example, there’s the buffet classic of Sashimi. Thick and plump — all anybody needs from sashimi.
But if you want something more than Sashimi, they also have a Chirashi Don for those who need rice to complete their meal.
However, as much as we love Sashimi, you should save your stomach space for some of their luxurious signatures. For crab lovers, you’d be excited to find it on Ginger at PARKROYAL’s highlight menu.
There’s both a Chili Crab with Mantou and Salted Egg Crab. The chili crab had a nice mix of sweetness and light spice, whilst salted egg lovers would love the thick, fragrant sauce of the Salted Egg Crab.
Though if there’s a crustacean you must get, it’s definitely their Black Pepper Lobster. Its succulent fresh boasted of a pristine bounciness, and the sauce had a good amount of punch without going overboard.
If you’re more of a meat than seafood person — go straight for the Chicken Wings. These were juicy and sported that perfect smoky char which also added a enjoyable light crisp.
Alternatively, Ginger at PARKROYAL’s S’pore Satay is also a good choice. It came with a special hazelnut satay sauce that exploded with rich, nutty flavours.
Otherwise, the chunky Sate Lilit carried a wealth of spice-forward flavours, and juices burst straight out when you bite into it.
Speaking of signature local flavours, don’t sleep on their Laksa. It straddled the sweet spot between rich umami and light fragrance.
You can’t go amiss with the bouncy noodles, creamy gravy and a hearty whiff of coconut aroma.
Last but not least, go for their Chendol Ice Cream. What set this apart from other Chendol is that silky gula melaka ice cream which made it blissfully fragrant and sensually velvety.
Overall, Ginger by PARKROYAL a great spot which provides a beautiful ambiance and great local flavours. Whilst international buffets often pale in comparison to classic hawker stalls, you won’t find anyone complaining here — especially with the 1-for-1 promotion.
