Hot on the heels of the opening of Hawkers’ Street in Tampines 1 is yet another food court concept, this time in the west.

Tucked away in Bukit Panjang Plaza, this 230-seater outlet brings with it 11 stalls showcasing beloved hawker dishes, along with Korean and Thai offerings, including four Muslim-friendly stalls undergoing halal certification. Yay!

For starters, you won’t need to travel all the way to Aljunied (and brave the perpetually long lines) for a taste of the renowned Pondok Indah Indonesian Nasi Padang. Prices start from just S$2.50 for main dishes, which include the likes of Beef Rendang, Ayam Lemak Chili Padi, and Lontong.

There’s also the ever-so popular Waker Chicken, best known for Korean fried chicken in flavours such as Original Crispy, Sweet Spicy, and Honey Butter.

Despite having outlets all over the island, this is their first foray into a food court setting, so you can look forward to exclusive menu items like Chicken Tender Pasta (from S$8.90) with Kimchi, Cream, or Tomato Sauce.

Thai street eats take center stage at Thai Makan by Thai Dynasty, where you’ll find an incredibly extensive menu of appetisers, curries, noodles, fried rice, and so much more. However, we hear their take on tom yum mama, Dynasty Mama (S$16.90), which can feed two diners, is a must-order.

West-sider fans of Roast Paradise no longer need to travel far for their fix of caramelised, melt-in-mouth char siew and crispy roast pork. In fact, why not have the best of all worlds by going to town on a Combination Platter?

Similarly, Flourful Delight from Golden Mile Food Centre is back in the west (after shuttering their Jurong West outlet in 2023). You won’t go wrong with any of their handmade dumpling options, most notably Xiao Long Bao (S$6.90), Pan-Fried Dumplings (from S$7.90), and Wanton in Chilli Oil (S$6.90).

Hankering for even more hawker eats? You’ll also spot familiar names — stalls featured at the Tampines 1 outlet — like Hill Street Hainanese Curry Rice, Pang’s Hakka Yong Tau Foo, Jiak Song Mee Hoon Kway, and the Michelin-approved Tai Wah Pork Noodle.

The next time you find yourself in Bukit Panjang Plaza, which of these iconic stalls in Hawkers’ Street will you be hitting up first?
