Hit up this limited-time Korean food & lifestyle fair at Takashimaya with heart-shaped hotteok, Jeju yogurt soft serve, indie skincare, a photobooth & so much more

Can never get enough of anything Korean? This is your sign to spend your weekend (or weeknights) at the Hello Korea Fair, a Korean food and lifestyle fair taking place from now till 6 May 2024 at B2 of Takashimaya Square.

You can look forward to a variety of brands that’ll be showcasing their products in Singapore for the first time ever, so there’ll be plenty to see, shop, eat, and try!

Firstly, start off by indulging in some well-deserved retail therapy at fashion brands like MONSAC, NUOSMIQ, and andar — there’s no reason why you shouldn’t reward yourself to a new dress, bag, or pair of shoes.

Skincare junkies are in luck, as renowned beauty brands like Vari:Hope and TITAD to help you achieve the glowy, smooth skin you desire.

There’ll also be plenty to browse through at lifestyle concept K Avenue — you may recognise them from Artbox Singapore 2024 — like skincare, fragrances, cultural products, instant ramyeon, and artisanal tea, just to name a few.

Stock up your pantry at Taste K, an artisanal Korean grocer showcasing fresh fruits and vegetables (the kind you won’t find at regular supermarkets), alongside products like seafood soup, kombucha, sauces, and even yogurt ice cream in flavours sourced from Jeju Island — I’m really intrigued by the Hallabong flavour.

That being said, most of us will probably be there just for the Korean street food.

Fill up on odeng (fishcake skewers) and signature bibimbap from MUGUNG Bibimbap, or slurp up a storm at Wooga Jjajang, the hawker stall best known for dishing up bowls of hearty jjajangmyeon.

All about street snacks that are also easy on the eyes? You’ll definitely want to make a beeline for the adorable heart-shaped hotteok from Seoul Hotteok, as well as the egg-shaped bread with sweet and savoury fillings from eggseoul.

Be sure to also hit up Sell:ector Yakgwa for yakgwa, also known as honey cookies; ChickeeN for saucy dakgangjeong (boneless fried chicken); and even comforting, piping hot udon from Woobool, an udon restaurant concept run by Korean actor Lee Jang-woo.

Don’t leave without striking a few poses (and finger hearts) at the popular Korean photobooth Picky Pic, where you’ll find tons of quirky props and customised photo frames.

Will you be heading to Takashimaya this weekend for your fix of Korean food, fashion, and skincare?
