The famous Jodd Fairs in Bangkok has opened a second night market with a fairytale castle, hot air balloons, vintage cars, unique street food & more

No trip to Bangkok (especially for first-timers) is complete without a visit to at least one of the city’s iconic night markets, like Chatuchak Market, Srinagarindra Train Night Market, and of course, Jodd Fairs.

Yes, I’m talking about that famous night market best known for its trendy street eats, nightlife, and the viral watermelon juice lady from that one smoothie stall.

We say “the more, the merrier”, and in this case, another Jodd Fairs — Jodd Fairs DanNemarit — has opened along Phahonyothin Road at the site of former amusement park Dan Neramit.

Firstly, it’s way more spacious than the OG location at Rama 9, so there’ll be plenty of space for you and your friends to shop, eat, and soak up the vibes.

As expected of Jodd Fairs, there are plenty of exciting photo-ops to go all out at.

The highlight of the entire compound is a massive fairytale castle (one of the most distinctive features of the old amusement park) flanked by vintage cars and colourful hot air balloons, so you can channel your inner Rapunzel or imagine yourself on a vacay in Turkey.

There’s even an actual lake with a charming dock (complete with suitcases and a boat serving as a backdrop) — the perfect spot to have very own vintage-style photoshoot. You really don’t see this at other night markets, do you?

Food-wise, you can look forward to a dizzying array of street fare that’ll leave you feeling spoilt for choice.

Feast on Thai pancakes, fruit slushies, marinated raw seafood, raclette cheese, Taiwanese ice cream rolls, cheesy oden, brownies, and foam-topped bubble tea, just to name a few. The list is practically endless, so there’s definitely something for everyone.

You can even enjoy a picnic under the stars on the grass patch surrounding the stalls.

Once you’ve done eating your fill, walk through the stretch of stalls selling stylish clothes, accessories, vintage knick knacks, antiques, and so much more — perhaps you’ll find a couple of special souvenirs to take home!

The market can be accessed via the MRT Blue Line by taking exit 3 from the Phahon Yothin station, or via the BTS (exit 4 from the Ha yaek Lat Phrao station).

Planning a getaway to Bangkok very soon? This is the best time to eat, shop, and play your way through Jodd Fairs DanNeramit, so you’re better off heading down before it becomes even more well-known (with crazy crowds and all)!
